IMHO, 100 ft/lbs is overkill and could potentially crack the spacer or strip the nut. 80-85 ft/lbs is fine. Regardless, the key with any spacer installation is to torque the nuts evenly.

I have these for my base rims that I decided to throw back on (needed new tires and these had brand neww ones). If you have a mild drop, 25f and 20r puts them flush. I'm liking the old style base rims, the simple finned design suits the car well.

I'm usually very willing to spend more for quality, but this is such a simple part honestly, and your experience pushed me over the edge to give it a shot. Besides, I just installed a full AL Priority 4 head laser jammer system with the Beltronics STIR radar detector head and HiFi speaker... that has drained my car budget considerably. |

I would spend the extra money and get a spacer with extended studs.

I have amazon spacers that I use in the winter. They are made of metal and allow my wheels to stick out more. I have not had issues with them and neither did the hundreds of people the left positive reviews. If I die I'll let you guys know.

Lost my 2011 Z just before the holiday (NOT BECAUSE OF THE SPACERS!!!).. for my new (to me) 2013 I am putting on Garageline spacers because they are anodized black (sweeeeet), guarantee the grade of the bolts, and are on sale at a price only slightly more expensive than the generic ones I had before.

I prefer bolt on as you're not using a super long stud if you use a large spacer. I'd rather have short and fat as a base than long and skinny.
What hasn't be mentioned is the material. I've seen the actual spacer crack before but what's worse is using poor stud material! Do these cheap spacers even have a number on the back of the stud? My Z1's had no number which worried me. My new bolt on's are 10.9 grade and my stud to wheel studs are 190,000 psi ARP studs. The insides are red locktite down to 90 or 100psi. Wheel to spacer is 85-90psi. Being hubcentric everything should be fine as all the weights on the hub and not the spacers.

My garage line spacers showed up with grade 10.9 studs. They also look really nice with the black anodized finish. Just and FYI.
