How many of you put on aftermarket wheels without TPMS?
I just put on my TE37SLs today...shortly after, my TPMS indicator went on, it even blinked for a bit IIRC.
I'm not going to lie, I find it annoying. I don't mind not having a monitoring system, I can feel the tires if they are running low on air pressure... but I don't really want the light on, is it possible to turn it off somehow? Did anyone else put on aftermarket wheels without TPMS? I think I'm just going to ignore it if it isn't going to cause me any problems. PS: The Bridgestone S-04 are great tires, I love them so far, I can already feel how much the grip improved over my base 18" wheels and I'm still going pretty easy on them before I completely break them in.

I would assume, and hope, that no one would skip the TPMS. Something is wrong with your setup if the TPMS light came on. You probably have to get them reset by the dealer.

I did the same thing. I don't feel I need the sensors. I have a tire inflator with a pressure gauge and I check my pressure at least a few times a month. Also my light has not gone off. Bothers the hell out of me

I did the same thing. no way to clear it ASFAIK. I just ignore it now. I have a good tire pressure gauge and check it regularly anyway so the TPMS system was pretty worthless to me. Especially since I've had so many false readings from it and it doesn't tell you the tire pressure exactly like the 350 did.
A lot of times the light would go off on my stock wheels and I would pull over and check the pressure and see that I'm still within spec. Always bothered me a bit. This has happened about 3 or 4 times in the 1.5years I've owned the car. Not enough for me to think there's a fault in the system just enough to know it's not always accurate.

Our tpms won't fit any work wheels w/o some modification. So when I had work wheels I left them out and the light just kept blinking and as far as I know, there were no way to turn it off. Guess it's just something you'll have to learn to live with. However, I didn't have any problem with tpms when I had my advan wheels and my current volks. You shouldn't have any problem with your te37s unless something went wrong.

Driving through the mountains (nothing crazy) my TMPS always starts flashing. I've probably pulled over like 4 times and they are all normal pressures.
My track wheels have no TPMS, i just ignore the light.

After spending some big money on aftermarket wheels, its a nice feeling knowing that the TPMS sensors are there monitoring the tire pressures. Besides, the light would drive me nuts. R.K. |

I don't have Volk but SSR and found out that most aftermarket wheels cannot accomodate a TPMS. So the work around was to use a TPMS belt mount that holds it on the wheel. Had it for almost 4 years now, zero issues.

I have the TPMS in my TE37s. No issues, no random flashing.

I don't have sensors on my winter wheels. I only have them on for about 4 months so I just monitor the tire pressure myself.
