I just run the Hankook Ipikes, but I go through a set a winter due to the amount of mileage I put on. They've been a great tire in snow. I run a 225/50/18 in the font and a 245/45/18 rear.

225/50R-18 blizzak lm-60s square setup on A7 black sport wheels- cheapest wheels tire rack had. They don't look half bad. I need to get spacers for my back wheels though to get rid of that sunken in look. 25 mm should suffice?

Do NOT get 225's for the rear, you'll regret the loss of traction.

Just get 245's all the way around on base wheels, that way you can have the tire shop "rotate" them for you.

And w base wheels, you don't have to worry about spacers or brake clearance or hub-centric BS.

I thought that a narrower tire was better because of more contact between the tire and ground

I've been running this setup for 2 winters and it works great in the snow. I just rotate front to back each year. I was just wondering about the spacers for back wheels.

I heard you shouldn't need spacers. They really are there just to get rid of the sunken in look from the smaller tire, but if you don't care (like I'm sure most of us driving the Z in the snow including myself), then you shouldn't need to worry about it.

"Winter"? I figure I'll stay on the stockers this year then get a proper summer setup next year and keep the base wheels for winter again. Luckily it doesn't really snow here so I should be fine on the summer tires.

Yea I'm thinking purely cosmetic reasons. I'm a spacer noob so I was just wondering what I should get to get rid of that sunken look
