On a red z, I don't picture the little "nuggets" matching.

Yessir.

frost 09-13-2009 01:17 PM

I think one without the studs would be better for red.

Studs would go with black, white, and silver/gray.

kdo2milger 09-13-2009 01:20 PM

meh...i think they are small enough that they may not be that noticable...dunno though

frost 09-13-2009 01:23 PM

I have the studs on my 350 rims, they are an absolute nightmare to keep clean. Probably wouldnt be as bad on a black rim, but on my chrome ones, I'd prefer to swallow a shotgun blast than clean the rims.

ouch  that would be hard to swallow...

still these look easier to clean than the stock sport rims...my hands cant get into some spots to get all the brake dust out

Caravanshaka 09-13-2009 01:40 PM

I've had those studs and found them a PITA as well.

I suggest waiting for the concave's...if you have to have this I'd say gloss black with red, and see if you can get the studs gloss black as well.

Caravanshaka 09-13-2009 01:45 PM

or go with the 087's that just came out in a gloss black, those would be sexy

ive never had these type of rims before...

why do you all say they are a pita to clean, i mean whats the worse part about cleaning these verses lets say stock sport rims?

i dont like the look of the 86's but the 87's show potential...

nogoodname 09-13-2009 01:47 PM

go with VVS-085..... similar but cleaner look

get machined with black lip

Caravanshaka 09-13-2009 01:47 PM

brake dust gets stuck in the little holes of the studs and no rag can clean all the way around the inside of them. You pretty much have to get about 10 Q-tips for each car wash and take a q-tip to each one to get all he brake dust out.

Those little bolts collect that grimy mix of dirt, brake dust, and oil. You cant just wipe them off, you have to like, dig into them with toothbrush style tools. While that doesn't sound like a big deal, that adds up to a LOT of time.

the hotrod in me says deep dish or no dish!

kdo2milger 09-13-2009 08:36 PM

soooo....thats it on the votes?!?

kdo2milger 09-13-2009 10:51 PM

matte black is taking the lead!

Minicobra1 09-13-2009 11:56 PM

I like the matt black, but I would go with the black lip. Too many cars out there have a polished lip, for the last 20years it's been polished lip, black lip too me looks more fresh and new.

kdo2milger 09-14-2009 12:39 PM

i think the black lip would be hawt!

i needs to do some photochoppin to see how they all look...

kdo2milger 09-15-2009 08:29 PM

so 14 say matte black...

thats 58% vote out of 24 people...

need more votes peeps :hello:

kdo2milger 09-23-2009 12:15 PM

i guess nobody else likes these wheels enough to vote...:shakes head:

Caravanshaka 09-23-2009 12:17 PM

I think we have a lot of concave fans on the site

kdo2milger 09-23-2009 12:26 PM

too bad...

i wonder how the votes would go on a mustang site :icon17:

Caravanshaka 09-23-2009 12:28 PM

does it matter? you have crossed over to the dark side now...there is no going back!

kdo2milger 09-23-2009 12:32 PM

soo soo true :shakes head:

well 78's matte it is...

vehl 10-27-2009 01:58 AM

i'm also interested in vossen wheels, how much do they run for for a set of 20s approx?

thats a decent price if it were.. volk wheels go for about the same for 20s anyway.

Eric 10-30-2009 06:51 AM

I chopped a couple pictures for you to get a better idea of how they would look on the Z. Personally, I don't think that I care for the Vossen WW078 rim on the Z, I think the stock or Nismo rims looks much better.
