What is your price range? That is always the dilemma.
Mid-range I would recommend the Bridgestone S-04, on special now at tirerack. You can get front/rear for less than $900. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

This is NEVER something that I would recommend with regard to tires. The Z is a sports car, not a bicycle.
I agree with the S-04 suggestion. They are great tires for the price

I recently picked up the Potenza S-04's and find them to perform just fine. They're highly rated and you can get them for about $830 for the four. I bought mine for my 2014 Z (replacing OEM) from Tire Rack for $800 about a month ago (b0ught mainly because they have better wet performance than stock as well as better wear rating).

yah, for some reason the S04 in 275/35/19 size is very narrow compared to normal 275's like the RE050A's.
(maybe for the vip sedan crowd? ) so i recommend anyone getting the S04's to get the nismo size rear which is 285/35/19. they look real nice, grip nice, and just an overall very good tire. |

I went to a car meet a few weeks ago at Miller Motorsports Park and I'd say 4 out of 5 of the cars that track their cars and that were DDs were using Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I saw an Audi R8 with'em (who happens to be a NASA instructor), a ton of WRX's/Sti's, an R32, a 350z, Mustangs, Miatas, some M3/M4's, and a few others. I am in the market for some tires as well and I talked to a few of the owners and they said that they are great tires on and off the track.
My vote is for the Michelin PSS And no, this was not a PSS meet =)

I strongly considered PSS and I suspect they're probably at least marginally better tires. I didn't get them because I didn't and don't believe that MY performance needs made them anywhere near worth the 30% / $400 cost increase over the S-04's, especially for the marginal performance edge.

I would disagree with the PSS being marginally better over the S-04's. I'd say the 30% difference in price is closer to the difference in performance than you think. If you are basing your numbers from that graph, notice how many more miles (more data) the PSS' s have compared to the S-04's. There is a reason more people are using them. But hey, if it's not within your budget or drive style then I guess that makes sense. S-04's will do the job.
