Default Tire help

Hello Guys/Gals,

I am looking for new tires for my Z. I am looking something to replace my current Factory tires as they are almost gone. I have the sport tires the 19 inch Rays.

I do not track this car, I drive from home to work over a mountain. I do drive aggressive sometimes mostly Fridays.

I have found these two sets I would like opinion on these tires and if you have any other brands let me know.

I am looking for something decent and not super expensive.

The tires I am looking at are

Falken
Falken Azenis FK453

and

Nitto
Nitto Invo

and

Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110

Can't help with those specifically. I opted for the Bridgestone Potenza S-04. Highly rated summer performance tires. Next step up appears to be the Pilot SuperSports, but the S-04s were $800 compared to $1200 for the Michelins.

I have nearly 40K miles worth of driving on Nitto Invos on the Z, and I recommend them for a fantastic combination of longevity and performance in addition to superb wet weather handling. Good prices, too (I have moved up to 265/35/19 in front and 305/30/19 in rear).

Other tires I have considered include Michelin PSS, Continental DW, and Bridgestone S04 Pole Position. I have stuck with the Invos because of their wet weather performance.

40k on the rears?!?!?! No way.
Or you've used sets for 40k worth of miles?

OP, go with the Hankooks. They'll last a while. They'll take a beating here and there. And they're cheap compared to other tires, but not as cheap/ghetto branded as Falkens. And no, I'd NEVER put Falkens on my car

LOL hell no... I eat up tires for a DD

1 set of OEM rears, 3 sets of Invo rears.
1 set of OEM fronts, 1 set of Invo fronts.

I will be replacing all four in the coming months.

I never heard of falken until now. I am leaning for the nittos or hankooks. I also looked at the Bridgestone s04

The S04s get great reviews, but I highly doubt/can almost guarantee you won't get great mileage out of them

Of those three options, I think you will be most happy with the Invos. Although I see you are in El Paso... not sure you need the wet weather performance. Consider the S-04 Pole Position. They should definitely be within your budget.

I wouldn't buy Falkens. Period.
I have driven a Z on those Hankooks at COTA. I was not impressed.
I have driven my Z with Invos at COTA. Much better.

I know some people don't like Nittos either... Kensan

But I've just had such a good experience with them, I can't help but recommend them.

I wish I could run true performance tires daily
