Gold GT30 Time (56k warning sorta)

Great choice in wheels. Gold looks absolutely sick on black cars. I too, would suggest lowering it another 1/2 inch for a cleaner look. Congrats. What offset did you end

Honestly after seeing a couple of 370s already, a 25 series tire is just way to small for this car. A 30 profile in the rear is minimum Id says, maybe these are 30 but they sure dont look it.

56k warning, to funny. We should rally and have this disclaimer changed to '2G Warning' on all post across the internet.

I am not a fan of the rims on the 370, but they are nice.

It's all about what offsets your running and also tires sizes matter a lot!
I think 19's and even 20's look fine.

+1. Many of the 20 inch wheels, with proper tires on them even have smaller OD's than OEM, so they don't LOOK that big. You are just increasing height of the wheel, while decreasing the height of the tire, for a net awesome look.

except you are also adding an *** load of weight to the unsprung rotation weight of the car... This is a sports car where if I spend money on the wheels it will make them lighter as well

If I'm not mistaken, the GT30'S in 20's are the same weight if not lighter than his stock OE 18'S. I can't remember what the weight is on the 19 inch sport wheels. The 20x10.5 rear weighs 25lbs which is not bad for 20's.

BTW if anyone is looking for lightweight 20's, there's a couple of sets of the NEW VOLK RACING G2'S available in flat black and formula silver. 20x10 only weighs 21 lbs The 19 inch G2'S are right about 19 lbs

Lou,

You also need to take into account rotational inertia. Even if a 20" wheel weighs the same as an 18", the 20" still has a larger diameter which makes it harder to spin. Of course weight is important, but it isn't the only thing

of course, thats why i suggested those tire sizes so its not too much of the original diameter

His 18 OE diameter front: 26.85, rear: 26.68
His new 20 gt30 with 255/30/30: 26.02 and rear 295/25/20: 25.80

So his new setup is lighter and slightly smaller than his OE 18'S

remove splash guards + crank those coilovers down to eliminate the tire gap...
