rear tires are nearly bald (center to outer edge) Is this normal???

18500 miles, rear tires are nearly bald center to outer edge. Inquired at dealer and was scolded that I didn't read the owner's manual and get a 4 wheel alignment

Inquired at dealer and was scolded that I didn't read the owner's manual and get a 4 wheel alignment once a year. Have owned several sports cars and never had the rear tires wear so poorly. Recommendations on tires? ssmoked and SterlingDrive like this.
