Stud replacement spacers???

I have done a lot of research and has read a lot of posts regarding this topic but still can't decide yet. From what I gather so far, using spacers

Question Stud replacement spacers???

I have done a lot of research and has read a lot of posts regarding this topic but still can't decide yet. From what I gather so far, using spacers will change the angle and cause premature wear on the bearing, cause stress on the entire suspension, and decrease turn radius (please correct me if I'm wrong). I have the sport wheels and like to push it out a little more for a flush look but too nervous of the draw backs. I understand that it would be better to buy a new set of wheels that have a better offset for a flush look but no $ at the moment

For those who are using stud replacement spacers on their Z, I desperately need your feedback on this cuz I'm nervous of having to replace my bearing hubs. Thanks so much!!

Your car doesn't know any difference if you put spacers on the car or if you put lower offset wheels on the car. They both do the same thing, push the wheel out.
Just get a good brand, like H&R, and you will be fine.

I've had stud replacement with 20/25 on mine and not have an issue for 7 months/ 12k miles. Bad camber on spacers probably does damage, hub centric ones are the only way to go, and lastly, should be minimal issue with turning radius unless you're putting in some crazy widths. I've since bought some wheels but kept the longer studs.

You'll be fine with a good quality set of hub-centric spacers. I put bolt on H&R 20mm on the front and back of my Z with the sport wheels. Just make sure to torque them down correctly. 10K and no issues here.

Haven't had any issues with mine (20mm all around) for the last 12mos/25k miles.

I'll be looking to sell them here shortly once I get my new wheels in though.

Unless you are getting a new set of oem lugs you should keep them. I am in the camp that believes used lugs looses its grip (not sure of the exact term) And should not be reused. It has to be tight on the hub. Use open ended nuts if you leave your extended lugs. Looks much better.

well, if that's the case then any aftermarket wheelset that fits the wells correctly ("fits nicely" i should say) will cause bearing failure. that's not the case.

if you're going to stick with the stock ride height, go with below:

front 15mm (stud replacement type)
rear 10mm (stud replacement type)

This will keep your wheels slightly tucked in for a clean look, but with a more aggressive stance than no spacers. you dont want to get big arse spacers unless you're going to lower your ride.

Thanks guy. You guys are awesome.... :-) I'm currently on Swift for almost 8k so far. How thick should I go with the HR Trak+ stud replacement spacer for the sport wheels + Swift? Is 20mm all around a good setup and can I reuse the OEM lugs with the stud replacement spacers?

yah if you're on swifts you can definitely go 20mm all around and make your car look nice.

Does any body know how much does the H&R 20.0mm DRS Type TRAK+ Wheel Spacers weight because if each weight 5 lbs, then 20lbs of unsprung weight/rotation mass would be a lot.

It weighs way less than that. I'd be shocked if it weighed more than 10 for all 4. I'd weigh mine for you but I'm here in Kansas City.

Recommend 20/20 or 20/25 on Sport Rays and use extended lugs for replacement with open ended nuts. As I mentioned earlier. It looks much better plus you have the entire length of the longer, open-wended nuts biting onto the lugs.
