Need advice...selling used tires

I just bought a 2014 Z Touring Sport. It's sitting in my garage with 4 miles on it and I'm replacing the OEM Potenza RE-050A's. Seems like they ought to have some value....What to do with them after they come off? eBay? Marketplace here? Other ideas?

yah, you can probably get like 300 for the set. :) GL with sale.

i'd try selling it here in the market place, or see if you have any local interest in your region.

Congratulations! Enjoy your Z!

I suggest selling it here first, most ppl are trustworthy.

I don't know what a fair price would be. I'm thinking more than $300 for the set, but it seems to me that people would be more likely to look for rears and fronts separately, and probably rears more often than fronts.

Looks like its going to be tough then to get cash out of my used tires and they have a lot more than 4 miles on them....

yah, i think if you are willing to sell in pairs you might be able to make more $.

reality is these tires arent very popular. so probably only folks that have a stock or near stock car with little knowledge of tires would be interested in getting a set for cheap to replace their stock ones.

otherwise they will go to their local tire store and buy watever is cheapest...

The dealer offered me $300 for them this morning. He only needs the rears to put on the Z that I traded. He said they weren't going to do the fronts and if they bought all four would likely put the two new ones on ebay. I'd go that route but I had an offer of $400 for the set about 10 minutes ago and I don't even have them off the car yet.

youd get more money on craigslist. no one on this forum would pay more than 300 for stock tires, which most people complain about.

I got $600 shipped in state~ (about $500 in my pocket) and mine had 2000 miles 9/32nds. Then again, my sale history is longer than anyone else's

I'd ask $300 for the rears and $200 for the fronts.

Btw, OP, you have the sport package, not JUST touring

yah, i suppose it depends how fast you want to get rid of them and turn it into $.

I picked up a nail in the sidewall a couple of years ago, dropped $400 on a replacement tire. I would have jumped at a chance to pick two no-mileage replacements for $300.
