Need opinion on Tires
I'm sure there are plenty of threads like this, but need tires pretty bad right now, still going to keep the same Nismo specs:
Front- 245/40R19, Rear 285/35R19 Any ideas on the great tires that are affordable but can go pretty long? I saw the Continental Extreme Contact Dw only 894 for entire set, Are those any good since they are def cheaper than most sets, If not i'll probably go with the Michelin Pilot Super sport which is 1264 for set. Need some feedback please, Thanks

I've been driving on the Conti DWs for a couple of years with no complaints. While Bridgestones are good tires, they're overpriced and don't last worth a crap. I do have Bridgestone snow tires, so I'm not a complete hater.

I just got the Conti's DWS. I like them -
Lots of tread. It just rained pretty hard yesterday and the Z performed very well. I also noticed how quiet they were compared to my other tires. Good luck

They're awesome in the rain. I have pushed them pretty hard with no issues.

DW does well wet or dry. i run them on one of my wheels for the Z. S04's do it better though, much more responsive, much better grip in the rain, looks better, and not as pricy as the PSS. only down side is that they weigh more than the DW.
DW's are also well mannered over uneven roads. S04's arent bad over rough roads, not as soft as DW's ride. |

had OEM sport PSS's and loved them. blew threw the rears in around 15k miles but thats from a lot of "spirited" driving, plenty of 1/4 mile runs, and the dragon. bumped up sizes for them are about $1650 shipped.

I ran the DW for a while. I loved they were the lightest tire! Not the grippiest but on a WRX they held very nice! Never dragged on them so not sure if they hook up but again with the WRX a hook up is night and day vs a Z. Some guys have tracked on them and liked them but they will get slick. I loved the smooth quite ride vs the stock loud bridgestones. It also seemed to last a long time with low camber on the WRX. OP id 100% increase the tire size! Try square if you want, 285/285 would work on the 9.5" front wheel. If you're not into the best handling you could even go 320 on the rear. In my book though I go 10% over the wheel but not over 20%. So your fronts a 265-285 and rear is a 295-320. Remember though a DW is light because of a weak sidewall. Going up to 20% on that tire is going to squish. 10-15% will handle a little better.

I'm running 255/35/19 Fronts and 285/30/19 Rears Hankook Ventus V12's on mine. About to up to 275 Fronts and 305 Rears. I haven't tried Mich PSS or Cont DWs yet but just for my side of the story the Hankook V12's never gave me any issues and it handles fine. Road noise is a bit on the high side. Tread life seems average. V12's should be the one of the cheapest 305's you can find out there.
Just my 2 cents.

I'm talking about the DW(s). S is for plural.
