Anyone that has bought used tires - the good, the bad, the ugly?

but there is truth to road noise after tire rotations. ive experience it myself on my dd's. ofcourse, i dont take my car to dealershits to have this done.

Oh I know the noise problem. Tire rotation before the tires start wearing too unevenly can help minimalize the problem. Also, explaining to the customer that the noise will go away as the tire wear evens out might make it acceptable to them.

I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who don't care and would just rather get new tires than deal with noisy rotated tires (like you said... at higher end dealers). Most of them have lots of money though, so its not an issue for them.
