Anyway here as some numbers with different tire options and offsets. I ran your desired offsets and getyuorwheels recommendations. The difference in tire numbers is obviously by how much the tire sticks out past the lip. Fronts: 255/35/20x9 +30 Will stick out 22 mm farther then stock. Wheel diameter 686 mm (679 mm stock) 245/35/20x9 +30 Will stick out 17 mm farther then stock. Wheel diameter 680 mm (679 mm stock) 255/35/20x9 +20 Will stick out 32 mm farther then stock. Wheel diameter 686 mm (679 mm stock) 245/35/20x9 +20 Will stick out 27 mm farther then stock. Wheel diameter 680 mm (679 mm stock) Rear: 285/30/20x11 +28 Will stick out 7 mm farther then stock. Wheel diameter 680 mm (675 mm stock) 295/30/20x11 +28 Will stick out 12 mm farther then stock. Wheel diameter 686 mm (679 mm stock) 305/30/20x11 +28 Will stick out 17 mm farther then stock. Wheel diameter 692 mm (679 mm stock) 285/30/20x11 +15 Will stick out 20 mm farther then stock. Wheel diameter 680 mm (675 mm stock) 295/30/20x11 +15 Will stick out 25 mm farther then stock. Wheel diameter 686 mm (675 mm stock) 305/30/20x11 +15 Will stick out 30 mm farther then stock. Wheel diameter 692 mm (675 mm stock) 285/30/20x11 +23 Will stick out 12 mm farther then stock. Wheel diameter 680 mm (675 mm stock) 295/30/20x11 +23 Will stick out 17 mm farther then stock. Wheel diameter 686 mm (675 mm stock) 305/30/20x11 +23 Will stick out 22 mm farther then stock. Wheel diameter 692 mm (675 mm stock) Hope this helps. |

it does help thanks! i just got off the phone with Forgestar and they recommended 20x9.5F +25 with a 255/35/20 and a 20x11R +20 with a 295 or 305 tire. I'm still going with a 285 though

Make sure you don't go 35 series front and 30 series rear that will lead to this since the front tires overall diameter will be larger than the rear
BRAKE, ABS, VDC OFF, SLIP light on.What do I do? I would go 20x9.5 (+20) with 255-30-20 front and 20x10.5 (+15) with 285-30-20 rear if I was choosing this wheel |

Not questioning just trying to learn.
How come the stock wheels are 40 in the front and 35 in the back? Those are different, should they not cause a similar issue? Is it because you want to keep the rear and front diameters similar? Aren't the numbers I ran within reasonable limit? Last edited by cooltoy; 02-24-2014 at 09:45 PM. |

The stock setup of 245-40-19 and 275-35-19 rear is .5% larger in the front which will not be detected by the VDC/TCS 255-35-20 & 285-30-20 is 1.1% larger in front which could possibly risk the VDC/TCS going off with Best way to be safe is to use a tire size calculator: Tire size calculator Reference: Will these tires work with my VDC enabled car???
