Offset question
So I went through a lot of the pages in the offset section and didn't really find many people on 19x9.5 +12 and 19x11 +15. I wanted to see a picture of this setup, because one of the guys at Varrstoen told me that is the best setup for my Z34 Nismo. :ughdance:
I want an slightly aggressive stance, but don't want my wheels sticking too far out the fenders. I'm on BC Racing coils and the tire sizes are 275 (F) and 305 (R). No spacers. Any suggestions? Maybe pictures of this setup or another offset with x11 width would be great! :tiphat: I would want it to look like this, with a 19x11 not 10.5 like has it... so I'm looking for correct offsets for what I want. http://varrstoen.com/wp-content/uplo...4668823485.jpg Thanks all. |

The fronts will poke probably 20mm the rears will poke just a touch. This is describing the location of the wheel lip edge and on stock height. When lowered both will tuck in more.
Your tire choice will also determine how far the overall wheel/tire combination will stick out. |

The front wont poke out 20mm. i have 9.5 +0 in the fronts and pokes about 15mm with correct camber. your rears will be perfect in my opinion. my rears are 10.5 +0 and barely poke but i love the aggresive/flush look on it.

Now that I look at it, they don't have many options for offset anyway. Here is what they have...
ES2 19X9.5 - 0 ES2 19X9.5 - 12 ES2 19X9.5 - 22 ES2 19X9.5 - 30 ES2 19x10 - 15 ES2 19x10 - 25 ES2 19X10.5 - 12 ES2 19X10.5 - 22 ES2 19X10.5 - 30 ES2 19x11 - 0 ES2 19x11 -15 ES2 19x11 -25 |

Use this calculator. Put the OEM set up on the left and desired set up on the right. It will show you how much different offsets wil stick out. You can also play with different tire width. Custom rims, wheel tire packages for your ride - RIMSnTIRES.com |
If you're lowered, running OEM alignment settings, and running 275/35 front & 305/30 rear tires, I would recommend 19x9.5 +22, 19x10.5 +12.
Front will be pretty aggressive and you might need to roll your fenders. Rear should sit pretty nicely. |
Out of curiosity, why the hate for Varrstoen? I've never actually seen a set in person, but is it a build quality problem or just typical clone wheel stigma?

Then again it depends on the abuse you put your wheels through. Given enough abuse, even one piece forged wheels will break. Although one piece forged wheels will most likely bend instead of break/shatter like Varrstoens. Not to sound like an elitist or anything, but wheels are the one thing I wouldn't cheap out on. That and tires because those are literally the two things that keep my car on the road. My opinion so take it with a grain or salt. No offense to anyone intended. [/VolkWheelsFTWShamelessPlug] |
