Then why is this not whats posted publicly on the site when you click "reviews/tests"?

"Review" and "survey" tab is by a buyer reviewing the tire. "Test" tab is by tire rack. Just click the tabs on each tire to "read the full report" that's by tire rack. I don't like people's opinions unless they show like on this forum "hey I went 2 seconds faster around xxx track because I got these tires."

The HTR Z3 is low on your scale because the V12 is more popular with more customer feedback.

I weed through the shitty ones to find intelligent reviews, but I do tend to vest some belief in the people who actually put miles on tires as well as those doing professional testing. A good combination of both is the best grounds for choosing.
kenchan and synolimit like this.

I can agree to that. Hell you need the customer to at least tell you how long they'll last you. I still prefer a forum like this in the track section though vs. people on tire rack saying what they think. Easier on here to weed out the good reviews and or course the tire will be on your car and not a civic haha.

Absolutely.

Although, I will say my PSS' lasted almost 25k, for a max street performance tire, I consider that to be pretty damned good.

That is good. My DW's were going strong at 20k and not even 50% yet but my WRX didn't have aggressive camber because I drag raced it. Just goes to show you cars can kill or make a tire last. Now if only less mileage more sporty tires would cost less!! Would make sense no?

Yeah, I get probably 2 good summers out of one set.

My bigger problem is Michelin discontinuing the 265/35/19 size.

I don't want to step down to a 255, and I think a 275 will be too much (tire and $).

not sure, 275/35 is pretty much the same sidewall height as 245/40 (within 2mm).. they might work great if you do a lot of tight turns... like carving canyons/autox. especially if your front wheels are 9.5" width.

The Z3 does not launch well but hey, its a 300utg tire.

Those tires don't look right. I'd go bigger.

EDIT:, yeah wrong choice. That's 0.6" difference, to much in my book. Keep it under 0.5".

Safely you can go 20% over your width of the wheel. I'd go 245/275 unless you want more square for performance, then maybe a 255 or 265 rear tire. But 245 is max on the front and 275 max on the rear.

I'd get a 245/40/18, 265/35/18 or 275/35/18.

I got the size you recommended and installed over the weekend, thanks so much for your input. Drives like a new car again!
