Default aftermarket wheels dont fit front???

i tried putting on my wheels today and my front dont fit, i was like wtf. wheels are right bolt pattern just wont go go in. after some head scratching i took a closer look and saw that this piece of $#!t nut is hitting my wheel making the wheel not go all the way in flush. any of you guys ever run into this problem or am i just dumb. my rays fit on fine but the aftermarket wheels looks like its barely rubbing it and wont go in. pic below, black arrow

Your aftermarket wheels clearly do not have a void in the hub-face similar to the Rays ....

I see 3 choices:
1. Swap after market wheels to wheel-style that has void at the rear in correct place - costly
2. Remove the offending bolt - implies that the rotor is not held securely without the wheel in place, BUT I don't see that as significant as the wheel will secure the rotor
3. Accepting that the bolt should actually be there, then find a machine shop to machine a void on the rear of the after-market wheels.

Question for those in the US .... the OP says he has a 370Z Touring, but the photo looks like Akebono front calipers - so should this bolt actually be present .... I've got an MY09 with Akebono calipers and don;t have a bolt in this location. I'm thinking that this bolt should not be there in any event !!

Remove it. It's only there to keep idiots from mixing up the front and rear factory wheels.

That bolt has nothing to do with holding on the rotor. It is merely there to keep from putting the rear rims on the front. That is the only reason that it is there.

We get calls like this frequently! Just remove it and you are good to go! Just don't mix up the front and rear wheel

What did they do to remove it? I just went to an NTB (large, well known company) to have a set of wheels with winter tires swapped with my summer tires/wheels and they said they couldnt put them on bc of that bolt. Seeing as NTB's aren't some small town shop, Im surprised to see your answer that the place you took your car had no problem removing the bolt to fit the wheels on properly yet NTb couldnt do it.
