Tire maintenance Indicator on suggestions?

So been driving the z for a few days now and the tire maintenance light keeps coming on right as I start the car could this mean just simply that one tire is a little low on air pressure. I checked the tires all seem to be fine anyone have this same issue?

I'm lazy and quoting myself.

Read page 2-18 and you'll see what I mean.

First question: does the light turn itself off after a few seconds? It should. most of the indicator lamps will light up upon start-up. That's normal. But, they should also turn off if there's no problem.

If it doesn't, then you may have a problem. Check the tire pressure (cold).

no it doesn't turn off by itself , i just chkd the pressure last week in all the tires they one was a little low i put air in it it went off , less then a week later the light is back on ..... is it gonna go on every time the tire is like 3 lbs low ??

What do you normally run for pressure in your tires? IIRC, the TPMS warning light comes on for a tire whose pressure drops below 27 psi.

You can go to the dealer and have them calibrated.

WShade 09-04-2009 03:32 PM

It’s not the TPMS warning light he is talking about. He is talking about the programmable maintenance indicators on vehicle information screen. Please read page 2-18 of the manual as stated above and all of your questions will be answered. :tiphat:

Ah...my bad, damn skim reading

brianmac229 09-04-2009 04:25 PM

Same thing happened to me last week. Ended up having a nail in my tire. So I would check it out even if you can drive on it.

Argos 09-06-2009 09:56 PM

yea i think im gonna have to take it back to the dealer have it chkd out

bullitt5897 09-06-2009 11:34 PM

I have my tire indicator light on constantly except the tire pressure is perfect and there are no nails or anything in the tires... I am thinking the TPMS may needed to be reset or replaced.

its the most annoying thing

maintenance tire setting is set default to 6000 miles, the usual time to rotate your tires, but because of the staggered fit of the 370z tires, and the fact they are uni directional, you don't rotate them.
