I don't want to stray too far from the OP question but here is a crappy video that helps display my thoughts, it was quick and dirty, but I think it gets the point across, you can hear me grunting when I was pushing down on the bfg to flex the sidewall. I know this is not scientific, but I have mounted enough tires in my day to know the difference in sidewalls(that's what he said...sorry had to). Pardon my 2 cents and out shop music, that side of the shop is country the other is classic rock, its a constant battle...radio wars everyday...sigh.

I'm thinking of going w/ these same sizes…I've got 20mm spacers all around and dropped 1" on Swift springs…any potential issue at these sizes? Would they stick out too much? Rub? 265/40?…35? & 285/35?…30?

I'm lowered on Teins and they drop a little more than Swifts with no issues of rubbing. I have 15mm spacers all around and the rears are pretty much even and the fronts are just within. I think you will be fine 285 rear and 265 front.

Has anyone gone 235 up front? I used to always use narrower tires up front on a performance rwd car back in the past. Example my euro spec e36 bmw 3 stock was 225/45 front and 245/40 rear. 205 and 215 front would eliminate tramlining and made for a better turns.

I bought a used set of 18" stock wheels that came with 225/245 tires. I bought the wheels to use for autocross and ran these tires in my first event. Could always have used more grip, but they did fine, and since this is my first season I'm going to use up these tires before I buy more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
