Like I mentioned in my post above they want to charge me $20 USD to ship one washer to me in Canada to test, which is ridiculous.

for my nismo wheels, one would probably need to find a really short lug to make it look right...otherwise it'll protrude out too far. not that i plan on getting aftermarket lugs for my factory wheels.

The collars appear to add very little to the overall height.

yes, but looking at the stock lug vs aftermarket, stock lug's visible area (the hex area) is pretty short.
that would mean your selection of aftermarket lugs would be limited to pretty short lugs.

like this... would need stubby short nuts. :ugh: at least on my nismo wheels most aftermarket

I'm the plastic cap guy. Only alternative was powder coating the OEM lugs. Not sure how that would work, only that the plastic caps were less than $20 to evaluate the color and the concept. If I like it as time goes by, maybe I'll get my lug nuts powder coated in red or black. Or just pull the caps off and leave them silver. I'm not sure yet, but I don't have much invested in the process at this point.
