Default Forgestar wheels, lug nuts

Just upgraded from a set of NT03+M to Forgestar F14 18x10. They fit the car great and sit nice and flush-ish (square setup for track).

My question is what lug nuts should I use. I have some open ended lug nuts from Z1 but these don't get a good purchase on the lug bolts and the bolt itself is recessed down in the nut (would not pass tech inspection, and might fly off). The OEM lug nuts are too 'fat' to fit down in the wheels. I would love some suggestions as to avoid having to throw on extended studs.

On a side note, the Z1 lug nuts even when run all the way down on the stud still have a good amount of play in them which creeps me out and I will not be using them.

If you have forgestar wheels, please advise.

Thanks, RT

If need be I do have 20 50mm studs, 5mm and 10mm spacers, and 20mm and 25mm bolt on spacers.

I'd rather not have to use them though.

Stick with the open lug and get extended studs. Extended studs will be required for many tracks as are the open lugs.

Josh, I already have z1 50mm extended studs. The open ended nuts that I have (also Z1).

Can anyone confirm that if I put 50mm extended studs that the OEM wheels will still fit without a spacer?

Also, the Z1 open ended 'tuner' lugnuts I have are somewhat loose on the studs - it is kind of creeping me out. Even when run all the way down on the stud by and I can still wiggle the lugs around a decent bit.

Here's my thread on installing longer studs. It should give you an idea on what you need to do with the stock lug nuts, and what I did.

Installing ARP wheel studs

Post 9 in that link shows what I did with the lug nuts.
One of the things I did was, is to cut the top off of 5 stock lug nuts to keep with the spare tire. If I have to use the spare. I'm prepared.
