K3 Projekt wheels on my MB 370z... ehhh (pictures)
I test mounted these Saturday, havent driven on them yet because of the front (read on). I'm torn on if i like them or not. They didnt go as expected.
Wheel specs are 20x9 +18 and 20x11 +20. The fronts do not clear the akebonos without a spacer Mounted currently with 20mm spacers up front making the front 20x9 -2 and the rear has my 25mm spacer making the rear 20x11 -5. My 15mm were delivered today according to my tracking number so I will be removing the 25mm from the rear, moving the 20mm to the back and then installing the 15mm on the front and then measuring. If I can run a thinner spacer, I will buy a 10mm and put it up front. The tires also stretched a lot more than I ever wanted. Fronts are 245/30/20 (shorter than stock to give me extra clearance.. heard a 245/35 would rub at this offset without camber arms up front) but for some reason it is stretched on the 9" wheel. Was not expecting that at all considering the stock is a 245 with a 9" wheel and no stretch. Rear i knew there would be stretch but i didnt think it would be that bad. The stock wheel as you know runs a 275/35/19 on a 10" wheels and I went with a Pilot Sport in 275/30/20 on the 11" wheel. It's stretched a lot more than expected. I was expecting just a tiny bit. Overall, I think these wheels actually run wider than they claim, unfortunately. I love the wheels but I'm not sure it's my cup of tea. Considering maybe selling them or trading for some Nismo wheels if they dont grow on me. Also I am on H&R springs and SPC rear arms set at -2.5° camber. front is at -1.8° camber. :pics: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82/BrandonSS/side.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82...anglefront.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82...onSS/front.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82...eandcamber.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82...nSS/rear-1.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82...hfrontpoke.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82...anglefront.jpg :ugh2: |
Looks good to me.

I like them, it's a nice color combo
But as long you like them that's all that matters |
Can't go wrong with a nice, clean 5 spoke design... I think it looks good.
|
I would curb those bad boys in a heartbeat...not enough meat on the tires for my taste. weird but I'm not quite digging the setup, something just looks off. IMO...but whatever floats your boat is what matters.

I think they look great with your MB color. The thing that is probably skeezing you out is that the rear looks VERY stretched. I think with your drop, maybe a little meatier tire would give you more piece of mind.
IMHO looks hot :) Get some coils, lower a bit more and your good to goo. |
a little lower and I think you would like it alot more. The front is real aggressive tho, maybe have a wheel shop machine the hub down a little
|
Purchase side skirts or side blades and I think you will enjoy the wheels a little more.
I saw your pics posted on 350z forum, and remembered the nismo front conversion. The wheels are nice, but I am having my doubts on the MB. Maybe cooltoy will photoshop new side skirts on there, or I will in my extra time. Maybe amuse sides? Nismo sides? It would flow much nicer IMO.. |
Wowzers.... I agree, the tires look TOO stretched to me. Especially the back... -2.5 degrees camber AND that much stretch seems to me like those tires would get eaten up in a serious hurry.
I dunno. Other than that, it looks good to me. Put some meatier/wider tires on that bad boy. I wouldn't lower it any more, personally. |

looks good but + 1 on wider rear tires. I have the same setup as u but a +11 rear offset had the same sz rear tire but changed them to a 305/30. I'm also dropped on h&rs.

Thanks guys. Yeah by next spring if I keep them I'll put on some wider meat. It definitely needs it. But within the next couple of weeks I'll be tucking it away for the season at my father-in-law's 4th Bay and covering it up.
I replaced the 20mm with the new 15mm and i still have room to go. So I'm ordering 10mm for the front and moving the 15mm to the rear to replace the 25mm. Once I do that I'll be taking it to adjust the rear alignment and having some camber removed. And no.. I couldn't possibly go lower without destroying my car... http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82...021_220212.jpg |
Yeah I would not go lower
Looks fine the way it is and no reason to make it undriveable |
I'm looking at buying these rims. Are you ready to sell yours? If so, let me know and may be we can work something out.

Ugh seeing that you cannot fit a 9" wheel with an +18 offset upsets me. Does anyone know what size wheel is safe for running in the front, I do not want to poke too much in the front in looks weird, would prefer to have the back poke more than the fronts.
