TPMS bomb DIY. So easy even a child can do it!

Simple....have two sets of wheels(Track & Street)....instead of dealing with tmps light when one or the other is on....do this so you can leave sensors in the car no matter

You only need one large container. You drop all four in and pressurize it.

I've wondered about using one of the TPMS senders instead of buying another stem. Only thing I can come up with is the curve of the sender (to match curve of wheel) prevents a good seal. Just a wild guess.

People have been doing this for years, here's one from club lexus where they use one of the stems as a valve for the bomb.. also doesn't include any kids in bathtub pics.. (not sure why OP needed to post that)

Talking

We been doing this on the Power Wagon forum since '08.

This is the first one I made. Now the sensors sit in a stainless pipe that is TIG welded on both ends.

The pic of the kid in an Ironman suit wasn't really necessary either ... but it did lend a certain amount of "friendly humor" to the DIY. I thought it was a great touch.

You can if you want to. Dozen ways to do this. You could drill 4 holes or 1 use all the sensors or 1 or none. Doesn't matter, easier to install a stand alone nipple and through the 4 sensors in the pipe.

Point is to pressurize all 4 sensors to get the dash light to go off. Or pull the dash apart and cut the light. Also good write up by Baer383 Reset TPMS Warning By Yourself For FREE!!!

you guys really do put in a lot of effort for that one light. hahaha.

on my dd i can't turn off dynamic stability control with the tpms light illuminated.. for that car this would be great, but i heard it wont work as the sensors dont wake up while stationary.

I must say Surfdog, that's the first time I've ever seen anything like that to get rid of TPMS warnings! Very impressive. Just a common sense solution taken to a technical extreme. I bet a hermitically sealed container like that would last at least until the batteries in the TPMS run down.
Downright ingenious. Cute kid too. I think you've started something.

Question

Surfdog, did the light go out after you drove the Z for a block or 2? Or did it stay on? I know if my light is on. I put air in the tire. I have to drive about a block for the light to turn off. Wondering if it a preset distance the car has to go, or a number of wheel revolutions to get the light to turn off?

I use two sets of wheels ad re-doing tpms every wheel swap is not practical
