Update: the threads on my screw on end-cap are not quite airtight. I had to pump it up now and then (once a month maybe?) on rebuild, I abandoned the idea of the leaky screwcap (which was there to make TPMS battery/componenet replacement a possibility when they eventually run out)
If I were to do it again I'd use a simpler "two endcaps glued together" design or possibly just an airtight metal pipe. When pressurized, the system works great. |
Good thread. Question, if I put other 370z wheels that came with TPMS (19rays) on my 370z with the 18 stockers , will the car recognize the new Z wheels without throwing a light? Or do I have to go to the dealer and have them reprogram?
So in short, remove 18 inch wheels. Install new 19 inch Rays with installed TPMS. Will it throw a Light? |
It wil not recognize them. Only the original TPMSes wil be recognized.
