I checked my fender earlier this morning. Looks like I am not rubbing the fender but the little bump of the fender lining where the bumper meets the fender. It seems as if my tire scraped some of the lining off already. I'll take a picture tomorrow to show what I'm talking about. I wonder if I ccan just cut that piece off...hmm

Also my coilover are out of the box settings. I may have to play with the damping or rebound. Not sure how to approach that yet.

Anyone have the problem of installing 20mm spacers with the bolts built on, in the rear, and the stock studs extend past the spacer...causing the wheel not to sit flat against the spacer. How do I fix this if my wheel doesn't have a space for it. It makes me quite nervous that it will fall off. Should I shave down the stock studs or dremel into the rim? Please help.

Nah man you can't put on those type on the rear. The built-in bolt style spacer has to be a minimum of 25mm. Anything smaller and you have to do bolt replacement.

So just take those off man and replace them with the right type.

Mike 08-07-2010 04:00 AM

exactly. If you really want that type on the rear, you will have to replace the studs with shorter ones.

As long as you use the Version 2 (Bolt on style) you'll be fine on the rear. The recesses are deep enough on the wheel to accommodate the protruding studs. You cannot use this type on the front though

Not using stock rims, so the back doesn't look like that. And there was no place for them to sit. I took them off, waste of money blah. So on 25mm the stock studs don't extend past the spacer at all? The rims were pulled off my old g35 and weren't wide enough in the back.

Jose Aliling 09-09-2010 03:54 AM

how about on the nismo rear's 285/35 will 25mm work?

chuckd05 09-09-2010 08:51 PM

i have built in studs in the rear , and had 20 , with no issues.. had 20mm built in stud in the front too, but it introduced some vibration

You wanna put 25mm spacers on the rear of your Nismo? Whhoaooo!! I don't think thats gonna work man. But I wanna see you try and post pics ;) :drama:

I've seen 15mm and it looked great.

TROOPER 09-11-2010 08:30 PM

Saw a couple of old link from last year LOL, but where's a good place to get H&R 15mm DRS series spacers..??
Any Vendors here worth talking too.?

I may have to run 15mm front and rear on a Nismo, shouldn't be an issue if I plan on lowering on Tein springs right..??

ZForce 09-12-2010 02:56 AM

^I have one set of 15mm (new) H&R part #3065662 that I would be willing to let go. pm me if interested.

neveucd 09-12-2010 11:32 AM

Also got my H&R from stillen.com for what I thought was pretty cheap and quick.

Hey guys... good thread as it answered my main question, but I have another one.

First off... spacers on my G37 Coupe were SO much easier... did bolt ons all around and no issues. I currently have 20mm bolt ons on the rear of my 370 and 15mm v1 on the front... both Ichiba. I did the fronts later and have had them on for a month and a half and have noticed vibrations from the start. I've been doing lots of traveling and haven't had much time to deal with it until now.

It sounds like the issue is with the Ichiba v1 spacers in the front and it sounds like the easiest fix is to just buy the H&R spacers. My question is... if I choose to instead go with 20mm H&Rs in the front... are the replacement studs I installed for my 15mm Ichibas long enough for the 20mm H&Rs? Potentially dumb question, I know... but thanks for all the info guys!

If you don't track the car I say no problem, you'll only be losing a couple of turns of thread of which there is plenty on the stock wheels.

Yeah, I won't be tracking it. Thanks, I appreciate it.

toxik 01-03-2011 01:24 PM

i'm experiencing the same vibrations on ichiba v1s. i am getting new wheels which require 15mm in front instead of 20, I will try to buy the H&Rs and see if it makes a difference.

Jeffblue 01-03-2011 04:30 PM

i have 5mm stud extension HR DRS type spacers for sale if anyone wants them PM me.

So is this because the Ichiba v1 don't have hub centric spacers on them??

they are hubcentric but I think the fit is a little off.

Yeah, as toxik said.. they are hubcentric, however the centerting ring is not deep enough.

I switched out the Ichiba 15mm on the front and put on H&R 20mm spacers. It seems to have fixed most of my "balance" issues... Maybe still a SLIGHT issue but I mean very tiny.. not like before... but I really haven't driven on the highway much since, just to test the new spacers, which seemed great. I'm also switching out the 20mm Ichibas on the back for 25mm H&Rs (prob in the next 2 hours or so).

I took this pic of the 15mm Ichiba next to the 20mm H&R. You can see how much deeper the H&R centering ring is. Also, it's one piece and built MUCH better - which certainly cannot hurt.

^ just a thanks to all posters here, I was using 10mm ichiba hubcentric and was vibrating like crazy (total stock setup) and after reading this thread decided to go with H&R 15mm hubcentrics and am sooo happy! Just had the car out and there are NO vibrations...:happydance:

Also, thanks to Charles at b2autodesigns for great customer service and product delivered.
