Tire replacement
Hey guys. Looking for some advice here. I got a flat that needs to be replaced in my front right tire. Tread is still good as I've babied this set of tires. They have about 8k miles on them. I was wondering if it'd be terrible to just replace the two front tires and wait on the rears or should I replace all 4? It's a DD ATM. And they're Michelin PSSs.
Thanks :( |
Sorry to hear about your troubles, brother. Perhaps someone else can weigh in on the Michelin PSSs.
I DD my Z as well. I've replaced just the fronts before when I got a flat in 2010 (I lived about 40 minutes south of Seattle, WA) and I had no issues. I ran Continental tires back then. |
Thanks for the quick reply man. I'm sitting in queue at discount tire ATM. Luckily they'll replace the front right free of charge since its under warranty. I just need to buy the left. The last time it was Friday the 13th I broke my leg. This somehow feels worse :(

you're fine running just new front pair since you stated the rears are still in good shape.
usually i get flats in the rear from front tire kicking up nails and screws, container lock pins :ugh:, and cuticle scissors  |
Whew. That's a relief. I was hoping not to have to replace the whole set. We have construction going on around the university I work at and I hit a nail.
But it sounds like your fronts are gunning for your rear tires Mister Kenchan:eekdance: |
yah, my front tires are all jelly rears are so wide and :yum: :icon17:
i find myself wearing out the rears twice as fast as the front and often times i swap in pairs (same brand same tire). the first 100miles will need some break-in so watch out for that. the car will feel different when pushed. after the break in the car should feel as it did before. |
