20mm spacers on rear only ?
Hello,
Is anyone out there running H&R DRM 20mm spacers on the rear & nothing up front ? Pro or Cons ??? Every time I walk up to my 2013 Sport Package Z, I think to myself I need to do something about those sunken rear wheel !!! Thanks for any help and or feedback - Bill Miller |
I ran them like that for a little while when I was trying to figure out if I was going to put the fronts on. I thought it looked ok, but I like my 20/20 better. I know I know,:worthless: but I didn't take any
|
I'm running 20mm on the rear only. But it's due to my SSR wheels offset and running 265/305
|
for stock 19" wheels, if i was to do it again, i would probably do 15 front and 10 rear if stock height.
both will need to be stud replacement type. if you're doing just the rear, the car will look odd even though your straight line stability will increase quite a bit. |
25 and 30 here on Swifts. something definitively needs to be done. i don't know about doing only the rears though...not a bad place to start i guess.

Yep, it drove me nuts for abourt 3months...spacers saved me. The sunken in look drove me nuts

Anyone know why Stillen says the H&R 15mm DRM Spacer will not fit front 370 wheels ???

I originally had 20mm all the way around |

Did you notice and handling differences ? My issue is that Stillen says the bolt on H&R DRM won't fit on front with stock wheels and I'm not interest in the long stud set up due to PA inspection laws. |

20mm will, not 15mm.

When I did swap back, I didn't notice any difference, but more than likely because there was so much of a gap. I really don't get the hold up. If you want 20mm ONLY on the rear, and you aren't a F1 driver, you won't notice a difference. Buy them, install them, and enjoy it. Don't buy them from Stillen, many other vendors here that offer better prices and service |
I tried to install H&R DRM bolt-on 15mm spacers on the rear with my aftermarket wheels since they have recessed spaces where the protuding stock stud can fit. The spaces are not wide enough so the corner of the stud hits the wheel :shakes head:
Then I asked the vendor if the DRS extended bolt type would work since it would not have to deal with the stock stud hitting the wheel right? He said it would not work either :icon14: What am I missing here  |
we were talking about the 19" sport wheels. is that wat you have?

Two pages and yet no pictures. Very disappointing.

Here are some pics of a 20 mm DRS installed only in the rear.

I'm using a 20mm/30mm H&R Spacers on Stock Sport Wheels, no rubbing issues. Slight Camber adjustment -2.5 on rears. I'll post pics when I get home. |
Well I did the 15mm H&R DRS Spacers and now I am nice and flush.
