Just happened to me today. Wanted some 245/30/20 for my car and they wouldnt sell me dunlaps, hankook, etc because of load rating. I didnt even bring in the car, just the bare wheels. They asked what it was going on and I told them and he said no... only thing they would sell me in nanking or whatever that were not in stock... kinda pissed.

I did not like the story of the refusal NOFATCHX but I did like your stance. That’s why I like it. Lol

Anyways you might want to do what 1325 stated and just order online.

Or call discount tire and tell them you just want to buy them out right. No install and mount/balanced elsewhere.

There was no mounting needed, I just needed tires shipped to me.

So i had to install the wheels on my own. They should have a waiver or something. Im not paying to do the work myself.

I ordered online but then called to make adjustment. Everything was fine then he called back saying the load amount wasn't approved and couldn't sell. I even said that they should have a waiver for buyers to sign which would excuse them of all liability. It should be up to the buyers discretion. I told him, these days ppl are really into improvising and making fine adjustments to their wheel setups it seems ridiculous as a seller to tell your buyers what they are allowed to buy. Tires pop every day for various reasons, I don't think this is much different.

Man that really sucks :shakes head: Do you think you ticked someone off, or was it just another stupid random act?

I understand the need for safety but the liability should rest with the purchaser.

If only common sense prevailed, which by the way isn't all that common  They have to protect themselves against the likes of people who would sue McDonald's because they are fat.

Another employee fired. My car was in parking lot for only 25 minutes, ironically when he left the building.

the discount i go to will work on my car spacers or not, hell they took off my factory lug locks!

they wont however sell you a tire that has a LOAD rating less than what the factory tire calls for. im not sure why you guys are complaining. try and dif tire manufacturer in that same size. ive seen it fluctuate in buying OEM tires on the nismo.
