plastidip or paint wheels?

So I am thinking of plastidipping or painting my wheels and possibly tinting my lights as well so I mocked them up in PS and would like everyone's opinions.

A = stock, no changes
B = just blacking the wheels leaving a polished trim
C = same wheels, with smoke tint covers (wraps) on top of all lights
D = instead of a tinted wrap on headlights, have them painted inside with body matching accents ala forum sponsor paperboy
E = tailights dark, headlights left alone

D!!!!

yeah, I like D over C, but C is very easily reversible and inexpensive, am considering E too. Wondering if I'm looking a bit like a ricer kid if I go dark with everything which is why I am tempted to leave the headlights.

any thoughts on how to keep the polished trim on the wheels if I am plastidipping? I know I need to mask it off, any tips on how to do it nicely with a pro looking smooth curve?

None, all black.

But I'd plasti dip or powdercoat.

no change "A" looks best out of those.

i just dont like dark spokes with bright rims especially on single piece wheels. who you trying to kid, kinda? :ugh: lol

i would do KAV paint code wheels for your car and just paint it. no plastishit

leaving that silver strip on the wheels in my opinion looks really cheap and UGLY. Please paint it all completely!

Chuck33079 08-21-2013 10:14 AM

D, and use paint or powdercoat the wheels. Don't plastidip the wheels. Don't leave the silver rim on the wheels. Have the door handles painted the body color.

yeah and what he said^

Yeah, I've realized leaving trim is bad, would paint the whole thing then pinstirpe on top. Reason I am considering plasti-dip is that it would be a good tester since I can undo it if I end up not liking it that much.

No stripe.

Testing out a look with plastidip is ok if you immediately peel it off and go get painted/powdercoated if you like it. Don't leave it on there.
