In spite of what was stated further up the thread, I painted mine. Two reasons:

1. I wanted an exact match to KAV; and
2. when they do get nicked/scratched, it's much easier to do a touch-up.

Don't fool yourself, a powder coated wheel can get a stone chip; I've seen it numerous times. I don't deny that powder coating isn't a much more durable coating, but it does have some drawbacks too. I've got two nicks on my powder coated calipers, so it can happen.

As with everything else, it's all a function of the environment you drive your car in.
