5 spoke is the most common style of wheel. go to google and check out volk, work, einki, rota, and thats all I can think of at the moment

all depends on how much you want to spend.

Work S1 3p - sex on ... well ... wheels

Push370zzz 08-04-2009 01:34 PM

volk seems to have the nicest designs in my opinion

bmarcinczyk14 08-04-2009 03:46 PM

would it screw up the speedo getting a 18 inch rim on a 370z that came with the sport package 19 inch rims? also, do pretty much all aftermarket rims weight less than the stock rims? too bad they dont have nice nismo rims for the 370z. i know for my ser they do and theres a huge weight differance compared to stock.

Caravanshaka 08-04-2009 03:49 PM

They do have nismo rims for the 370. the new Nismo from the factory has some, and Mike here on the forums has a different type.

wheel size does not affect the speedo, tire size does. As long as you match the tire diameter you won't have any issues.

If you have the stock Rays 19" wheels, then MOST aftermarket wheels are going to be heavier. They are already forged, light-weight and strong. Some volks and such will be lighter for that size, but not significantly.

do you mean the rims that come on the nismo 370z? if so, i find those ugly. thats interesting to find that the 370z's stock rims are lighter than most aftermarket rim, usually its the opposite. how much do the 19 inch 370z rims weight? are the 19 inch 370z rims lighter than the 18 inch?

Caravanshaka 08-04-2009 04:18 PM

There is a post here on the forum detailing the Rays weights, along with the stock bridgestone weights as well. I want to say they were about 25 lbs each. You can find Volks running 20 lbs each in 19's I'm sure, but the majority of wheels out there are going to be heavier. Aftermarket Forged monoblocks are going to be the lighter ones.

bmarcinczyk14 08-04-2009 04:37 PM

what color rim do you guys think goes best with platinum graphite?

FuszNissan 08-04-2009 04:39 PM

Black

Togo 08-04-2009 05:26 PM

I hate black rims..... but to each his own :D

FuszNissan 08-04-2009 05:36 PM

I hate red shirts!....lol

Caravanshaka 08-04-2009 06:14 PM

lol

I'm a fan of black as well, on almost any color Z :)

bmarcinczyk14 08-04-2009 10:56 PM

i like 2theextreme's volk te37's, but it doesnt look like they make them in black like his? they have a competition one, which has a red lip though, and im not looking for a red lip.

Plasmaball 08-05-2009 01:32 AM

i went with the Volk te-37's and then painted them to match the door handles. I am debating if painting the side mirrors the same color. Just where the black is.

I think the only way black rims would look good is if you have a pinstripe running around the edge of the rim. Which would break it the flow and not make the rim look like a black hole.

Sashimi 08-05-2009 03:16 AM

I love the Volk TE37's but I feel like everyone has got them.

I'll probobly go with the Volk G10's they're not 5 spoke but not to many people have them since they came out like 3 months ago

The TE37 will never fail on any japanese car.
but the only problem is that it doesn't fail so that everyone will have a set :D
i love the vossens :)

These are the accessory nismos that are not the ones that come on the Nismo version. They come in silver and are the same specs as the factory 19s, but about a pound less each. I powdercoated them black and burnt orange.

Work Meister S1

SSR Professor SP1

Any Fikse 5 spoke wheel.

Any of those would look good on a 370Z.

i really like those SSR Professor SP1's in black. can anyone photoshop those on a platnium graphite 370z?

bmarcinczyk14 08-05-2009 11:09 PM

those ssr professor sp1's look pretty heavy though. anyone know if the 19's are prolly lighter than the stock rims?

bmarcinczyk14 08-05-2009 11:29 PM

ok so i just found out that those ssr's are a heavy tire. im looking for a lightweight tire that looks very similar to the ssr professor sp1's, anything out there?

bmarcinczyk14 08-05-2009 11:37 PM

will the nismo lmgt4 wheels fit on a 370z? those are the exact style rims im looking for, not too flashy and clean. one of my favorite rims. those ssr's are really nice, i just want a very lightweight rim, that unsprung weight makes a major differance with a car performance.

I had a set of 19" LMGT4's from my last Z. I wanted to use them again but offsets weren't right. From what I calculated the fronts would be pushed out ~1" and the rears would be tucked a bit (needed a decent sized spacer). I ended up selling them. :(

damn! can anyone find any aftermarket black wheels that look similar to the LMGT4's? ive been looking and cant find anything. i think the flat black volk te37's would look good on the PG color, its just that blue sticker ruins everything. i thought a 5 spoke design was the most common design? it seems to be very hard to find a black light weight 5 spoke design. i really love the ssr professor sp1 wheels, its just they are way too damn heavy.
