It's hard to say from the pics. I would say that if you can tell the cords are cut, then I would replace it no matter what. If it is just superficial, AND if you are just driving on the street, I would say it is fine. If you are ever going to the track, it needs replaced. Keep an eye on it for bulging.
That's tough luck to cut a tire like that. There is lots of constrution near me and I have picked-up all kinds of crap in tires of my cars. Every time it happens I am miffed at the careless people that drop crap like this from their trucks.

Appreciate the feedback Buckeye. I'll keep an eye on the bulging if any as I wont track the car and it's just a fun weekend toy.

Doesn't look bad to me at all
I've had tires worse than that that the tire shops all said was ok to drive on

I would buy a new one asap since you don't have a lot of wear on them. If it is a front it won't matter too much but if it's a rear and you replace one tire and not as a set you will start to deteriorate the rear diff due to two different size tires rotating at different speeds. Hope this explanation helps. If that tire blows then you are looking at possible body work if the tread seperates. $300 now or more down the road later...your choice bro. Also if there is a America's tire near you they do offer 6mon. financing on tires as well...just a fyi

I personally wouldn't ride on that tire given where the damage to the tire is
Do you not have road hazard for the tire from the shop that you bought it from? I would contact them to try to work something out so you can get a replacement. |

Do not try fixing it or the manufacture could decline the warranty (if any). Good luck OP |
