For those of you interested in the RE-11A.....

ITS NEVER COMING!!! Sorry to say that they will not be coming out in our size.... I'm sure some of you call BS on some of the details I give out but HEY! Bridgestone came out with some online courses for Costco that basically gives us details about a lot of their tires. (Michelin has also included details on quite a bit of their stuff to us also) This program on the RE-11a's was released on July 22 and this seems to be as far as they are going with the RE-11a's. Not planning on extending the sizing for all previous RE-11's.

And their focus for these specific fitments

2014 Nismo Z's in Japan are rolling on Re-11's... If they don't plan on making any more, why did Nissan choose that tire?

Fail at reading fire hawk.... RE-11a's are their new improved RE-11's with an improved compound with better grip for tracking. We will never get the upgraded compound. Just the good ol Re-11's.

SS_Firehawk 08-11-2013 08:36 PM

Haha, I read what you said, but why would they keep two different tire compounds when one is superior to the other, and having the exact same tread pattern? I don't see what would be the hangup. I don't see it being that expensive if it's just a change in the rubber compound.

Heck I get confused when I see 10 different variations of the Re050a's when the only thing I can see is one is run flat and the other isn't.

BTW, normal RE11's are restocked on Tire Rack.

It realy doesn't make sense for Bridgestone to do so....much less the RE-11a's are actually priced cheaper then the old RE-11's...

RCL 08-11-2013 10:46 PM

Bridgestone's are overpriced for what they offer. Michelin makes a much better tire in every category and are at similar price points. Or for a cheaper price toyo and hankook also make great tires as well.

f-king bridgestone with their BS marketing for RE11's...
