New tires affect clutch?
I don't see the cause and effect here. I have 2012 370Z 26000Mi. Shortly after I got the new tires and alignment it seems my clutch engages higher and the RPM when taking off from a stop seem a bit higher. It also shutters more.

I wear boots daily for my job, so a lot of driving is done with them. However, when I'm not working I am barefoot, including when I'm driving the Z. There is a noticeable difference.

I used to be like that. I would prefer to wear my Vans instead of my Air Max 95s since the weight/height of the shoes made a big difference, but after a while, you get used to them and now I'm good with the Air Max's. Barefoot though? I can't do barefoot/flip flops though. Just feels too weird..

yah, i was pleasantly surprised how well my new vans felt while driving the other day.
the only problem with vans is the heel is not rounded like driving shoes so i would probably cut through the carpet mats in no time. i still prefer my piloti's. too bad they went under. i bought like 5pairs before they belly'ed up though. |

I can't do barefoot or sandals either. My dress shoes have a thin enough sole to work ok. Boots are a no go. Nothing beats my Puma driving shoes. I've got a 13EE, so shoe choice is an issue when driving.

Starting from a stop you should be able to get the car going without giving it any gas at all. I pull out of my parking space at work every day doing this.

yah, but it takes forever when the car is warm.
when the car is cold, rpm is high so definitely dont need throttle input to back out, unless you're in a hurry to smash your rear into a pole or something. ok, wrong visual. |

I love the Pumas for driving. They have the rubber back so you don't f*ck up the back of your shoe heal when your driving standard.
I'm surprised there's no driving shoe thread lol

there was, but it ended when piloti's died.
actually there are many casual shoes that have rounded heels that can be used for driving. even cheepo's like sketches have rounded heels. |
