Default will these wheels fit on the rears. please advise.

hello. yes before you all jump on me that there are other threads i dont care. i'm lazy and dont feel like searching through 100 pages of nonsense when i can have answer in 5 minutes directly.

looking to do a drag radial set up on my rears.

i have the sport package and originally was going to put 305/35/19 mickey thompsons on them to save money on wheels. i think thats a bit of a stretch when stock tire is a 275. also most people are telling me to drop to a 18" wheel for more meat and weight reduction.

set-up i found and like is 18x12 wheels with either:
305/35/18, 315/30/18, or 345/35/18 (if they fit)

wheels i found that i like for price, look, weight are

wheels specs are:
Size: 18x12
Pattern: 5x114.3
Offset: +20mm
Hub Bore: 73mm
Lip Size: 4.25 Inch
Weight: 27 lbs

now question is will these fit in the rear based on the offset?
will they clear rear sport brakes? (im 90% sure they will)
and are 345 too wide for the rear of the Z?

thank you in advance.

i already did. and yes 0 camber is ideal for drag racing because it gives the most surface area contact of tire and track which then results in more traction.

i drag race a lot lol

They definitely fit in the back, as I have them. You have to grind a couple MM off the top surfaces of the (sport) brake calipers to fit... without grinding they go on but they are scraping bad.

The wheels fit well, but I wish they were not quite as aggressive on the offset.

My car is lowered on H&R springs and aligned to -1.4 in the rear. The wheels and the 315 35 18 tires stick out of the fenders quite a bit, perhaps 1/4" or so, so not real bad. (say goodbye to the paint on your sideskirts lol, mine look sandblasted)

Fortunately the suspension cambers enough on compression to tuck inside the fenders on launch or bumps. I am unable to estimate how much closer to 0 camber I can go before they will strike. When I begin to prepare the car for the track, I will use a ratchet strap on the rack to pull the rear end down and see exactly how much more I can go.

I was going to attempt a 335/345 tire. I can see that with this aggressive of an offset, that is not going to happen, no way. It may work on cars that run more negative camber, there is quite a bit of space on the inside. But at my camber or closer to zero, a 335/345 on a 12" +20 wheel aint happening.

thanks for the info.

i'm on stock suspension and OEM camber/alignment

i'm just looking for better traction, 60' times, and obviously better ET's.

my 12.899 @ 110.74 on street tires and stock suspension etc. just isnt fast enough for me.

i cant believe that you had to grind the calipers for the rota's. my 19's clear the rear brakes so much i would never imagine that 18's would touch.

Most 18s would not touch, but these rotas get very small on the inside just behind the spokes. The inside barrel tapers a ton between the inside lip and just behind the spokes.
