Test fit Enkei RPF1 in 18s :(

I have RPF1 18x9.5 +15 and 18x10.5 +15. But I have AP six piston BBK on front. My setup was so close that it didn't scrape the wheel put to put a piece of pine straw when turning the wheel it got caught up. Now Megan (another forum member) had the same setup but cleared ok. Where it got caught up was on the lower corner of the caliper look to have a slight over mold/ casting effect. I didn't want to grind it any but could of. I just got some 2.5mm spacers from Z1. This way I wouldn't have to worry about small rocks on the track getting caught between the caliper and the wheel.

You're also being a douche. I was joking man, chill. Nothing was picked for cosmetic enhancement and the two pounds per side I would have lost with the 9.5 vs the 10.5 will not make any significant difference in performance especially since I am not racing professionally.

Pics of the front? I got a rock caught in between my caliper and wheel pretty recent. Nice deep scratch on the caliper and scratched a line of the plasti dip off the wheel. Its bound to happen.

Isn’t strange that almost every real world test that Grass Roots Motorsports does ends up contradicting the heavy wheel = slower idea? GRM volume 28, #4, June 2011 (19.6 lbs wheel is faster and makes more horsepower than a 15.9 lbs wheel.WTF!)

Maybe there's a such thing as to freed up. Like an exhaust system with note enough back pressure. Maybe resistence helps the cause.

That doesn't make sense. Hence why we have drive train loss close to 18%. The more you add the more you lose. Track times I can see it for loss of inertia or something though.

I know that it doesn’t make sense. I cited the issue of GRM if you want to check it out (assuming that you are like me and would never throw away a copy of GRM).

The explanation probably lies somewhere in the endless number of variables introduced in real world testing.

But don’t think about it too long or your head will start to hurt (and eventually explode).

I'm running a square setup 19x10 +22. I have base brakes but I have a huge amount of clearance up front. I'm willing to meet up with someone with a sport to see if the clear. (It would help me too as I'm looking at gettin the sport brake kit this year

This is a 18" thread only. Of course you have a ton of room on a 19" wheel with a +22! Stock is a +47. You basically added a 38mm spacer on your front.

Speaking of rim widths, I thought this picture would interest some people:

3 sets of Hoosier 295/40-18
Left stack is on 10" rims
Middle on 9.5"
Right unmounted.

The set on the 10" rims are about 2-3" taller overall than the ones mounted on narrower rims
