2011 370z Nismo - my DD on stock Yokohama Advans at 22,000 mi

Hey guys,

Looking for some pro advice...

I got a 2011 370z Nismo, and my tires are getting very bare now at 22,000 mi on my stock Yokohama Advans. I tore my ACL and lost my job last year and I wasn't able to drive for a while after my surgery. The medical bills did not also help my budget set aside for car parts..such as TIRES!

I do love to drive aggressively, but I am smart about it now considering it is quite dangerous on my bare tread. I don't go to the track yet, since I am swamped with medical bills as it is...however I want a good tire for Florida weather. Rainy/sunny. This is my DD btw and my budget is $1,000 out the door including mounting/alignment etc.

Not sure whether to go shop online and have them mounted at "X" tire store for the best deal, or to just buy at "X" tire store and have the best out the door price there. I live in Orlando, FL btw.

Please help me out!

I'm not a pro, and Advans aren't known for tread life.

I have Yokohama S.Drives, and evidently they aren't the greatest tires (people on this forum said they aren't that great) anywho, I have almost 20k out of them and I beat, and I mean BEAT on them, and I did a side to side swap (because my camber was bad) and I'll go another 2-3k. The forum favorite is the RE-11's or PSS.
Then again, if you have 22k out of the rears, maybe just replace those with OEM Advans, because that is amazing.

IMO, only buy tires from Costco, and if you care about mileage, ONLY buy from them.

First of all, Nitrogen fill for free (most locations I have seen have it)
Then they give a free (included in the install) tire warranty.
Then they really go by mileage on the tire warranty... Ex: Michelin PSS, warranted to 30k miles, (halved for the rear, so 15k.) if you wear the out in 5k miles, they will give you 2/3 of the price you paid (usually with free install) for a new set of tires!!! Those Tire places go by tread depth, which is a joke!

And if you wear your tires within 12 month, day hello to a new set for free!!!

Getting a new set of skins today...got 23,500 out of mine. They had 11K on them when I bought the car a year ago.

A) I just noticed the Michelin PSS are slightly narrow compared to the stock Yokohamas...has anybody noticed any difference in handling?

B) if I wear my tires within 12 months, a new set for free??? so basically I can abuse the crap out of my tires on the track or daily driving on purpose and wear them to what amount of tread where they will consider giving me a new set? If that is the case I will drive the crap out of the tires and have free tires for life......???
