Digi, I think you noticed the shudder/chatter of the OEM tires. Have you noticed this with the HKs?

Where did you get this info?

^ From several friends who track their cars, local shops, one guy I met a meet the other night, from people at the last trackday i went to and finally from all the reviews on tire rack from people who actually track the cars.

I definitely don't have actual numbers, but that's what I keep hearing over and over again. a month or two ago when I was looking to buy tires, one guy from a local wheel shop marketed them to me as cheap drift tires lol

Darn, I was strongly considering them. However, I don't need any issues during my track day at Road America if these things heat up and lose grip. Hmphhh...what to do?

How do you like the NT05s? Are they daily driveable? I can't really differentiate between the Nitto lineup (INVO, NT05, NT555, etc).

NT05's are excellent tires. Very daily drivable, less noisy than stockers. Lots and lots and lots of grip. No problems in the rain, just be careful as you would with any summer tire.

I would recommend this tire to anyone. If RE11's didnt exist, I'd be getting NT05's again as my next tire.

If you can swing the higher price of the NT05's, there is absolutely no reason why anyone would choose the V12s over the Nittos.

Cool. I value your opinion. The NT05s are still much less than the stock Bridgestones and only a bit more than the V12s. Definitely 'doable'.

And, they come in OEM sizes for those who want to stay with it. For me the decision is made.

I know MANY that have these tires, and they are one of the best street tires they have owned and they track their cars too. The people who told you that probably had improper tire pressure and pushed their tires past their limits too long. When you know your tires are getting hot, any tire will start to get greesy. Adjust tire pressure, and then go at it. They aren't race tires folks. But they are rated right below the Z1 Dunlops.

That review has been brought up several times and frankly no one cares about it.

To the OP and the rest of the folks here: That is what I've heard and that's what I know. Spearfish, if for some reason you want to listen to this guy, just think about turn 9 at RA and let me know how important saving a couple hundred bucks is. He just likes to oppose everything I say.

NISMOZ, he is talking about Road America and you want to send him out on Hankook V12s?

Well it is what I know and what I heard as well. You have never owned the tires yourself just read what you see on the net. I have people I know who have actually ran these tires. Do what you wish, but Nittos are not all that.

You haven't steered me wrong yet, and I've asked you for plenty of advice. The thought of RA in October has me upgrading all kinds of stuff. Carbotech XP10/8 pads are arriving in two days. I have Motul RBF600 fluid sitting on the shelf behind me. New Bell helmet in the box on the floor. Now for tires
