You know, maybe it's just me, but I won't pay anything less than full market price for an item, even my clothes. If it's on sale, i figure it's for the poor people or all the young wannabes and therefore I can't be seen in it.

Pfft, paying full market price is for poor people, I always pay 15% above asking price so people know what a baller I am.

Yeah man, unless you're living "paycheck to paycheck," there is no reason you should not be throwing money around like confetti. I mean, the whole reason we are in the financial mess is that people don't throw their cash around.

No. But anyone who skimps out on the most important aspect of a vehicle for a measly $600 every three years or so is. Then of course, they go spend $1500 on "fat beat that knocks, yo."

lets see, the day I get 3 years on a set of tires, I'll spend 4 grand on a set. I'm happy to get a yer out of them.

Also, These tires are rated #2 by tire-rack in their category, beating out many that are more expensive. I find them better than the bridgestones by far!

You fail to see what kind of test they placed 2nd in. It was a comparison of budget tires. That's like Maxim coming out with a list of "The Hottest Female Celebrities Over 200 lbs" and saying hey...she's hot because she came in 2nd!

I'll keep on bringing it up as long as it's mentioned and I'll hold my ground...it's foolish to downgrade from factory tires in letting cheap price influence your decision on a purchase you will only make a handful of times for the life of the car. Tires of that ilk are no different than eBay carbon hoods and mufflers. Guess what...you almost always see them on the same car, too. I guess some people need to learn the hard way what it's like when you try to skimp and buy parts on the cheap, as you very well have in your experience with Forgestar. There is a reason why I would not even think about wheels from them.

I'll stick with quality stuff, thanks.

good for you Mr. Holier than though...they keep me planted better than the stock tires, so I'm 110% satisfied...

Cheap prices don't necessarily mean they are cheap parts and expensive prices don't necessarily mean quality parts.

Look at 360Forged for instance.... they cost $4K+ for wheels and aren't any better than a set of Vossen wheels sold for $2.4K or a set of Forgestars for $1.5K...

Unless making your wallet lighter and thus reducing the weight in your car, allowing you to accelerate and decelerate quicker, all while maneuvering corners at higher speeds, makes them better. Then yes, they are better!

I agreed until you said Forgestar...

Your comparisons and analogies are completely flawed.

Try actually reading the comparison reviews. On the C&D test, it outperformed the PS2's, which are almost twice the price, on almost every category; on the only few parts it didn't surpass the PS2's, it practically matched it.

... but that's fine. It's your money. But try to do some research before spreading false information

That's true. Although, in a way, it has an affect on me. If more of these cars start running around on low-end parts like tires marketted to the "import tuner crowd" and Konig/Rota/ADR wheels, eBay intakes, some hack-job exhaust, eBay cf hoods, etc...it makes me look bad. Look at how many POS early-model 350Zs you see as a perfect example.

I'm lookin out for myself here.
