How to spot replica Project Kics Lug Nuts
I purchased some Project Kics R40's today. But before I did that I did a bit of research and found out that SoSoRSX from clubrsx.com made a great thread on his comparison of Replica vs Genuine Lugs. Because I read his thread I happily & confidently bought some Project Kics off craigslist (come to find out he was a G35Driver.com member who didn't really even use em. Lucky me). I hope that this helps prevent someone from buying some fake expensive lugs. So here it is:

Thanks for the info, anyway these nuts cannot fit the stock Rays.

pretty much all aftermarket nuts can't fit stock wheels.

Thanks! There's so many lugs out there to chose from and you do have to worry a out these things when you'rein the market.

Wow, good info!
It really surprises me the length that some companies go to ripoff someone else's design  |
It's not so much the design stealing, but the fact that there counterfeit! Inferior all around, with probably no testing what so ever.

Wow

Surprisingly close...thanks for posting

Great Info, It will be stickied for members to be on the lookout for potential fakes.

Thanks for the info. You can also get the serial number and call Mackin to verify they if they are real or not.

wow Im shocked to see such a close counterfeit...it's sad that so many things are being replicated nowadays...
|
My biggest issue is the safety factor. I mean these lugs hold the things that keep you planted to the ground and not flying off a cliff. Kinda scary IMO

Was the price on Ebay way cheaper? Real ones cost a pretty penny.
