Running a square 10.5 +30 setup?

I read around and it seems this won't rub. (20x10.5 +30)

How is handling affected by a non staggered setup? Is it a serious concern or simply a mild difference? The stagger option is 8.5 & 10.5 but 8.5 just seems terrible in both looks and performance width.

Also, what size spacer would i be looking at for the rear to make it flush? what tires (i prefer a mild stretch) would i look for?

I'm lowered on swifts.

Absolute noob in the wheels department, this is my first time trying to wrap my head around all the math involving stancing of wheels. Quite a lot to take in and get right the first time around

I run a 19x10 square set up, and as far as handling goes, steering becomes more direct. Turn the wheel and the rear end just follows. Pretty much prone to oversteer but I like it better then staggered. I don't know much else to help with your other questions.

thanks for the input. do you find the rear end being lose a noticeable difference in daily driving? or only when you push the car very hard?

There are so many wheel options, you really shouldn't limit yourself to one model that is only available in those two sizes

Something of the bbs lm replica style... These will be trashed on the streets and potholes of NYC and with the rate of wheel stealing i wont feel bad parking outside a friends house overnight either.

I really couldnt find anything in 20" under that so i really want to make the 10.5 sauare setup work.

Okay I found a different wheel that i like, stepped it up to $1.5k

I am lowered on swifts.

a) Does this clear the sport brakes?
b) If no, what size spacer do I need to use to make it clear?
c) would this rub in the wheel well?
c) what size spacer would i need to make it flush? For both rear and front.
d) what size tire would work well? I hate the beefy look and prefer a low profile... So a little bit of stretch.

Some pulling and a pretty significant amount of camber will get you by. Stretching tires just when you were talking about how bad the potholes and streets are in NY? Some bent wheels should be in your future shortly. Not too mention the camber will basically put your wheels taking the potholes on full force.

How significant the camber are we talking here? shouldn't be over 2 degrees it seems?

I just fell in love with the wheel gonna make it work now, not much else left to do.


are you saying 235 is too aggressive of a stretch? it seems mild by what i have researched so far... depending on the manufacturer I could also run a 245 I think.

However i appreciate any input on what I might have missed

I was running a 255/45/18 on a 9.5 +20 offset setup with -1.8 degrees and was rubbing quite a bit even on mild bumps. I'm now running the same setup except at +25 and I still rub on full compression. Your fronts will still stick out 12mm more then mine did when I was at +20. How much you pull your fenders will be the key factor in how much camber you will need and which tire sizes will work. I just hate stretch period. What is an "aggressive" stretch is in the eye of the beholder.

235 on a 10.5 is a stretch and you shouldn't have to stretch that much. The lower you go the more negative camber you'd have which will assist in these wheels fitting. I'm about to run a 10.5 with 15 offset with a 255 on the front and that's still going to need a little negative camber. I think you need to go lower then your springs drop you for you to have any chance and these fitting without pokin out to far.
