Default Base wheel replacement issues/concerns

Hello all! Needing some help (again) with wheel/rim sizing; this time though, I have the specifics and just need to know if it will fit correctly.

First of all, I have the base model Z, so to the best of my knowledge I have 18 X 8's in the front, and 18 x 9's in the rear. Right? Also, if I am correct — the offset of the fronts are 43 mm, and the rears — 18 mm. So far so good?

So here's the million dollar question: the wheels that I am looking at are 18 X 8's, and they have an offset of 40 mm. Assuming that I went with the these: (1) could I simply put them on and use then with the tires that are already on my base model rims? And (2), what would be the result as far as performance/issues? If there would be significant problems, how could this be fixed?

Thanks so much everyone?

Oh, please let me know if anyone is looking for a set of the base rims.

Assuming you're 225 front and 245 rear? They would fit (tires wouldn't be too wide) but the aspect ratios might be off.

Offset has more to do with the wheels clearing the calipers than the tires fitting. Maybe someone could chime in on this but 40mm should be able to clear the rear base brakes, worst case scenario you need spacers.

Simplest way to fix your "problem" is to get new tires for your new wheels. Maybe wait until the ones you are running are bald... but if you're not willing or don't have extra $ to shell out for tires that will fit the new wheels, is it really worth it or even the right time to do it?

Also you're posting in the wrong section...

Edit: should just post this in the thread you already started.. Help with wheel size!

18x8 is a bit skinny for the 370z... If price is an issue there are some cheaper wheels out there that come in a 9.5-11 inch width so you can stagger them.

You should run
Front- 18x9.5+22 or 18x9.5+15 (aggressive)
Rear 18x11+15 or 18x10.5+12
tires 255-40-18 and 305-35-18 or 285-35-18

@Diddy535 - thank you very much for your reply. I agree with you: maybe now isn't the best time, being that the tires are fairly new and not exactly needed at this present point! Thanks for that suggestion. Also, I had the feeling I was posting in the wrong section. How do I remove this and get it to the right one? And yes - I should have used the original thread
