Flush with no spacers

while there is the will it fit thread and the wheel fitment thread. Its all to much to trust to be honest, some say there using spacers in there post others mention it 5-6 post later after being asked.

I dont want spacers, but i want flush

Id like to know who is flush and how they got there

wheel / tire combo, suspension

a thread dedicated to just that flush/ no spacer

and of course pics help tremendously

if this thread exist already why isnt it stuck with the others?

im going to guess it isnt, so please use this thread to share yours

Probably with proper wheel setup there shouldn't be a problem making a flush fit.

I'm looking into this when I'm ready to do the wheel upgrade along with the tires.

If this works out it would be really helpful to people buying wheels, I just ordered my wheels and it was a headache trying to figure out the right offsets

Here you go-

Flush
19x9.5+22
19x10.5+12 or 19x11+15

Aggressive with slight poke (my choice to go with)

19x9.5+15 front
19x11+10 rear

Pics i attached are the aggressive with slight poke fitment.

ZMan8 04-05-2013 10:21 AM

you'll need either proper offset wheels or wide wheels.

with stock like offsets consider a 9.5" on 265 in front and 11" on 305 in rear.

Here is a flush set up
19x9.5+22
19x10.5+12

I am 99.9% sure both are running 255-35-19 front and 305-30-19 rears so its apples to apples for comparison with tires.

I believe that car is running 19x10.5 in the rear.
Also, flush is going to need to take into account suspension settings.

Right. It's not just offsets and wheel width. It's also camber etc.

Adding to that, flush is subjective in the sense that generally, a little poke is still considered flush, while lots of poke promotes to hella flush (all technical terms in the non existent manual of flushness).

I read tons of threads and overwhelmingly 9.5+22 10.5+12 is referenced as good place
to start from when studying "flush" for this car. You then adjust from there taking into account your drop, camber etc and where on the spectrum of "flush" you want to be.

What about a 19x9 wheel up front? Stock suspension.

OMGWTFBBQ 05-03-2013 11:55 AM

If you believe that 19x9.5 +22 is the "perfect" setup for the front, then you'd be looking at roughly a +15 offset on a 9" wheel.

Another factor that I found is not all wheel companies measure wheel width the same way.

I just bought a set of wheels that were advertised as 19x9.5/10.5. This was the inner rim width, but that info was not listed in the ad. The wheels actually measure 10 3/8 wide fronts and 11.5 wide rears overall width, so be sure to verify which measurement is specified (inner rim width or overall rim width).

:yum::yum::yum:

What tire are you running on this?

And does anyone know what specs on an 18" wheel/tire setup could reproduce this? (Yes I want the sidewall to be so meaty it would be the overall same diameter as this 19 setup)

Yeah but with a meaty sidewall you get more flex, roll & squish ;) , Unless it's all about the looks

I would be curious to know how 18s compare to 19s on a road course. My goals were to drop weight, maintain speedometer accuracy, and get this look.

I am very new to my 370 and my last car (e92 335i) saw a huge improvement switching to 18s.

Well it all depends on the tire you go with. When you had mentioned meaty sidewall, you are going to get less precise feel, whether you are going to go with 19" or 18". Stay lower profile & it will handle better when pushing the car in the twist & turns.

They are the Varrstoen ES2 (aka 2.2.2) replica of the TE37. Great looking wheels and in my opinion they hug the calipers/rotors better in 18s than in 19s.

This is a handy tool, click the "visualize" button after you enter in your sizes for a visual reference.

What about base 370z suspension for 19s? I am on BC coilovers. Vendor had recommended 19 x 9.5 F and 19 x11 R both +18mm offset

Look at the white Z on the first page. It's running on KWV3s with 19x9.5+22 front and 19x10.5 +12 rear.

A 19x11 +18 is equal to a 19x10.5 +12.

If you set your ride height close to that Z, your car will essentially look exactly the same. Your front wheel will sit out an additional 4mm with the 19x9.5 +18.

So in a nutshell, those are good wheel sizes/offsets for coils.

Ghost116 03-15-2016 11:10 PM

If I'm not mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong (I'm basing my sizing and purchase) off rustys sizes. I'm pretty sure he's at stock height and camber settings which I'm not sure how different the nismo camber/hieght is to a non nismo. But to anyone looking I would go off his sizes. Depending on tire man as well.

I'm a stock height Nismo. Front camber is -2, rear camber -1.75 when the pictures were taken. Front rims - 9.5x19, +25. Rear 12x19, +28.
