It is blown way out of proportion. The Mazda community swears by them. I myself ran a set on my Mazda3. No complaints, although some a-hole bought it from a dealer after I traded it and totaled it 2000 miles later....

Spokes failed at the hub ... picture the centre still bolted the the hub and spoke fractures where they meet the centre part of the wheel .... was pretty extreme .... and was the first experiecen my friend had with the need to "life" components, something that I have done as a matter of course. The other issue is that ROTA's would have to be one of the more counterfeited wheels out there. I have seen wheels with ROTA casting marks where the offets are cast into the wheel rather than stamped, and the PCD detail is wrong, all of which indicates a cheap knock-off and one worth putting onto your car. I'll post up some photos in the next day or so. Sn ET22 9.5 x 18 will need a half-inch spacer to set it flush, so I'll photograph the rear with and wothout spacer. Just give ma a day or so to get it done. |
