When you do get it jacked up, please use jack stands while you're working on it. And for god sake, don't be welding on the gas tank.

I have these in my trunk most of the time. 2.5 Inch Ramp. Comes in handy every time I take it in for service. The techs appreciate it when I come in prepared.

Cool! Thanks. I never go anywhere without a pair. It does not take space at all.

I think they look like the attached image (this way they won't disappear again )
Found using the title of his old auction to search eBay

I've been looking around for these but I can't justify spending more than $40 on plastic ramps. I'm going to build some out of 2x10's. They'll probably be heavy but they'll definitely be sturdy and cheap to build.

I think if I were going to go through the trouble of making ramps out of wood, I would just go all out and make full ramps. Although I would do it slightly differently than what I've seen online. I would take 2x12 (of whatever length needed depending on lowering and/or body kit) and make a single cut at an angle across the face of the board such that I would have two identical pieces that when stood on their side, would have the proper slope for the ramp surface along with a landing at the top for the wheels. Then take a number of these pieces stacked next to each wide enough for the tires, and use some recessed through-bolts to hold them all together. This should minimize the affect of warping on the function of the ramp, which can be an issue when you just stack the boards flat on top of each like most of the DIY wood ramps I have seen.

I've had mine for a long time now. Actually came with 4 of them. I take two with me all the time now. To get a low profile jack from the front I have to put a 3/4 board because of the lip. Otherwise, easy to jack it up from the sides with this thing.
