spacer time

so i had some swifts put on my z today and brought 2 pairs of ichiba drs spacers with me. the shop thought they were DRM's when initially asked and said they would put them on for free... but when they saw i had DRS style spacers i was quoted 8 hours in labor. i am pretty car-retarded, but they said with DRS they must take apart many things compared to DRM. so i have a couple of questions:

1) does is it really take 8 hours to put DRS spacers on all four corners?
2) is DRS that much safer than DRM? enough to legitimize an extra 7 hours in labor cost? i hpde twice a year at infineon and don't want a flying wheel...

thank you very much.

8 hours? If they plan to get drunk and have a picnic as well then it might take 8 hours.

Seriously though, it DOES NOT take 8 hours to replace your studs.

it took me under an hour to do both sides. you take off the wheel, remove the caliper, hammer studs out, pull studs back through. done.

thank you so much. i have had these guys install my led's, jdm tail lights, nismo s-tune wheels, and swift springs. for all i paid 4 hours labor. i don't understand why they would overstate something as simple sounding as 4 spacers. again, thank you for the help.

Took my tech 1.5 or so with extended studs...8 hrs is insane.

It takes 8 hrs to install headers not spacers.
