another bug....
noticed last night that at full lock (not sitting against the stop, to the stop, and back off a slight amount) that the front end binds somewhere.... it feels like my 4x4 dune buggy with a lock front end.... or simliar to over extending a cv joing. you can feel it through the wheel and floor, almost like the outside tire is skipping. i find this very odd since my car is lowered about 1", nothing crazy. now, its not that its a huge bother, but i am very anal and do not like "not knowing" what it is. nothing is rubbing i can visually see, and unfortunately no not have the ability to see under the car with the front weighted down (lift ect) to peek around. also, ive noticed a clunk in the rear end. here is what it is ![]() ![]()

I get it as well, but initially as if it's TCS test kicking in.
I'll back out of the parking lot, turn the steering wheel, apply gas, and hear and feel the racketing noise from the front wheels.

I actually think with the wide contact patch in front, camber and toe angles, combined with "biting" tires, this should be expected. Mine does it too without electronannies having anything to do with it. I usually notice it more when one tires have two different surface types under them. Watch when you have a little dusting of snow... Then you really notice it. My judgement= completely normal.

i have just noticed this, one week ago. Its a very hard right turn while moving slowly.
My theory was, the tires turn so far to the right that the car is literarly pushing forward and the tire on the front are probably sideways so it makes a rubber skipping on the pavement. Hope that made sense

You should never turn the steering to full lock (where you should hear a noise). Unless you enjoy replacing your power steering pump components frequently.

I also have this tire scrubbing. It happens in both directions if you are turning tight going slow. Sounds like the front tires are scrubbing a little bit on the pavement. It kind of reminds me when you have your truck in 4WD and turn tight on drive pavement and you here that tire scrubbing. I have been meaning to go to the dealership and ask about this but haven't had time. Makes me fell a little better knowing I am not the only one having this problem. Is this normal for the Z with 19" tires?

BTW, my brother's Jeep SRT8 and parent's Supercharged Rovers do the same thing with their wide tires. My last FX35 did the same once I wore off some of the tread. I'm sure my new one will too. A little more grip, a little more scrub. Awesome!
