Best tire combo for wider aggressive look

I have been doing some research on popular tire combos for my sport package 370 with the factory 9 inch and 10 inch rims. I believe I've narrowed it down to keeping stock size up front with 285/35/19's in the rear, or 255/35/19 up front with 295/30/19 in the rear. The only thing I'm worried about with the second option is considering the diameter of both tires are smaller than OEM size there will be too much wheel gap showing. I'm sure it won't be a horrible amount since the difference in diameter is negligible. I would consider a 305/30/19 which will be a larger diameter but I'd say that's kind of pushing the limits of the OEM rim and don't know if I can match up a size in the front well. Any opinions would be highly appreciated!

I am running 255/35/ZR19s in the front and 295/35/ZR19s in the rears....

Looks good. Out of curiosity, why did you choose the 35 series over the 30 series? I know the 295/30/19 would be the exact same diameter as the fronts, but maybe you were purposely going for the taller rear look?

No... I don't think these are stock wheel widths...tell you why after the next quote...

To be honest B, I didn't choose them... I bought the car like this! I am a little leery only because of the price for tires at first... the tire width are huge! But the handling is spot on; there are turns here in El Paso I wouldn't dare take in the Altima; it is lowered with 18 in rims... the Z handles them like I am riding on rails. But it still gets squirrley if I lay on too much throttle.

What turns are you talking about? Pretty much trans mountain is the only winding road with some good turns at speed.

Very interesting. The profile is a bit higher than I'm looking for, nonetheless it seems he's happy with them. I think I'd like the look of the 295 in a 30 series better though. Other opinions on tire combos are welcome!

Ehem.... not quite Transmountain, but the 54/601 Bypass on ramp up through the Airport Rd exit up to Global Reach.... both times going to work early in the morning, I hit that bridge crossing over to the 601 Bypass. First time I hit it around 70... the second time, I was unaware I was at 82.

There will not be a third time.

Thinking of possibly going the the 285/35 in the rear. Question is, should I leave it stock size up front or maybe bump it up to 255 or 265? I'm afraid that by bumping up the front size I'll have to get further away from the OEM diameter. Anyone have recommendations on what aspect ratio I should go in the fronts if I go either a 255 or 265?

Looks god man! I love the beefy 305 tire look, I just think a 10 inch rim is a little too narrow for it. It seems a 265/35 f and 285/35 r is a popular setup on the stock rims. Should get better turn-in compared to stock since the stagger is closer together, so over-all a better performance package while having a slightly more aggressive look. Would you guys recommend any spacers to give it a more aggressive appearance? I'm not looking for the tires to stick out too much though, just a little more flush with the body.

How do you like the Hankooks after getting some time on them? I have starting looking for tires for the spring.

The Hankooks have been awesome in all types of driving so far. Went thru the hot summer in BC with them then climbed the mountain pass thru snow on the way home. Rain and cold are fine too. I really like the versatility of them. They are not as sticky as the Pilots or the Bridgestones, but it is a good compromise for performance and tread wear....

and yes, spacers are a must with the stock rim offsets!

I know a good spacer combo on stock rims with stock tires and stock suspension is 20mm all around. Will adding the wider tires front and rear of the vehicle cause the tires to stick out too much with these spacers, or does the size of the tire not really affect this. Basically, 20mm spacers look good with the oem tires, will it look just as good with the wider tires?
