The Z is going to need new tires come the spring. I don't drive the z in the rain or wet so im looking for something thats more geared towards traction not weather. I have the sport package wheels. what have you guys had on the z that you feel was better than the stock tires it comes with? I know nothing about tires or good brands to even start my search for what I want.

Default Michelin PSS

Get the Super Sport tires. They are really good.

If you got the cash you can't beat the Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

Best bang for the buck tire would be the Continental Extreme Contact DW.

I am guessing since you do not drive in the rain or wet that this is more of a weekend car. If that is the case get the Super Sports. You won't be disappointed.

yep, pss or bridgestone s04's for sure.

if you're on a budget, the continental DW's do well too.

RE11's if you want to get alternate sizes.

Even wet weather, the PSS's are amazing. In light to moderate rain my friend is his 350z doesn't even break traction. I'll be going with that for my next set.

Michelin pilot super sports as mentioned above. Don't complain about the price cause we all know they are serious money but you get what you pay for. Also has a very good ware rating.

I've always seen people recommending RE11's or Hancook V12's. Are PSS a new offering from Michelin?

The RE11s and the V12s are 2 totally different tires. RE11s (180 wear) are much more performanced based, where as the V12s (280 wear) are a decent street tire.

Pilot Super Sports are Michellin's newest tire and I've read nothing but rave reviews about them. All the Viper guys are swearing by them.

PSS's are great but wayyyyy over priced.
Look up vredestein ultrac sessanta's I run them and they out perform in quietness and grip over the PSS's and you can do all 4 wheels in sport sizes for under 1k. I run them and they grip like crazy and are quiet as can be. Just google it and read all the reviews...there are a crap ton of people leaving PSS's for these.

Why have to settle for crappy price for good performance when you can have both

i got my PSS in sport sizes for 1k shipped

also those tires you mentioned are a off brand can they be trusted?

and if you were going with that brand look at this tire from them the Vredestein Ultrac Vorti. rated much higher and without the ricer tread design.

Vredestein Ultrac Vorti | the Vredestein Ultrac Vorti reviewed and rated | the online tyre guide

Ha I said UNDER 1k double stirs!! Mine were $900 shipped from Cali.

They arent off brand.lol THey are huge everywhere else but in the states. Trust me I did my research also when I went to get them install they were practically balanced perfectly. I have never had that ever with any other brand especially with these fat tires.

Alos the Vorti's do not come in our conventional sizes
