I am on powertrixs bolt-on 25mm rear and WAS on 20mm front. The vibration and handling was so bad that I recently removed the 20mm spacers from the front, and now it handles great. I miss the wide look in the front though =/ .

Get some H&R spacers instead. The manufacturer *does* matter.

I'll try them out. Sadly I can't sell my powertrix spacers on the forum since I just knocked them, haha.

I had the ichiba 15mm bolt on spacers in the rear and they were crap. One of the studs broke off after just a couple of weeks, then a few weeks later the spacer actually cracked and broke into 2 pieces.. luckily i had to take the wheel off and noticed.

I've switched to Z1 stud replacement since and so far so good, they look like better quality then the ichibas and the stud replacements give you more peace of mind.

On the opposite side of the above review, I'm running ichiba 15mm bolt ons on the rear for about a year and haven't had a problem yet. No vibration

Well guys, thought I would update this. I figured having already painted the front spacers for that stealth black look, I might as well put them on. Been running them for a few weeks now & putting the car through it's paces http://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/drivingskid.gifwith zero trouble & I'm really liking the look of 20's all around. No vibration , no sling issues. :happydance:

Thank you all again for your comments :tiphat:

Good call going with 20mm all around!

I've had the one piece 25 mm H&R DRM's on the rear for about 3k miles now with no problems whatsoever. I use them with my winter rim/tires. Make sure to torque the one piece spacers once again after about 50 miles after installation which entails removing the wheel once after the intial installation to retorque the spacers.
Without the spacers the narrower winter wheel/tire combination looks wierd in the rear.

Hey Rob! Sounds like your Z is coming along nicely
I just got my Z last week and I'm looking into getting spacers but I'm still kind of hesitant about going through with it. Where did you get your H&Rs from if i could ask?

How long have you had the spacers?
I've been on the same combination of Powertrix 20mm in front and 25mm in the rear along with thier SS coilovers for close 2 years now without any issues.

Did you make sure to retorque the spacers after the first 500 miles?
Also its best to always check or re torque the spacers if the wheels come off for any maintence etc.

Regardless, I would contact Charles and let him kno what you are experiencing and im sure he will help/take care of you in one way or another.

I had them on for about 3k miles. I torqued them to 90ft-lbs. After 500 miles, re torqued them. And any time I had the wheel off I would check them just to be safe. At first I never had an issue, then one day the vibration was so bad I had to remove the front spacers. The steering wheel would shake like crazy and handling was horrible. I just ordered lowering springs, so I was going to put my front spacers back on and try it out again. But I'll call Charles and talk to him. The whole time the rear spacers have held up great.
