Advice on what width Vossen CV2's to get.
Hello wheel experts.
I have narrowed my search down to Vossen CV2 wheels. I would probably prefer BC Forged H04's or Strasse Forged SM7's for looks, weight and the fact that they come in 19", but the cost of these two wheels is prohibitive to me. Vossen price is more reasonable. Anyway, the Vossen web site says the wheels come in 20x8.5 | 20x9 | 20x10 | 20x10.5 | 20x11. The sport package front wheels are 9" wide and the back are 10". Nismo wheels are 9.5 and 10.5 (you probably know that, but I wanted to show off the fact that I did some research). So should I stick with the same numbers as stock or Nismo, or go wider front and back? What would going wider do (other then make me buy wider tires)? Will the wheels be more concave? Will they sit more flush to the fender )or is that strictly an offset function)? Any thoughts on 20" rims would also be appreciated. I understand the whole extra weight deal, and the fact the wider rims+wider tires will weigh more. Does it really slow the car down that much? Thank you in advance for your advice. |
Cooltoy,
You will want to do s 20x9 and 20x10.5 in the CV2 hit me up if you would like some pricing. |
May I ask why those sizes? Why not 20X10 and 20X11? Just curious. Wouldn't that give me more concave wheel? What offsets would you recommend?
|
because Vossen always does 20x9 and 20x10.5.. its all they ever advertise. Personally I dont like em. but if you do a 20x10 go for +30 offset.
20x11 go for a + 10 offset. With those you can get full meaty tires without having to run alot of camber or stretch the tires. |
Recommended offsets are +20/15 in staggered 20x9.0/20x10.5.
Here is a member that ran the CV3s in those specs with 255/35/20 & 305/30/20 http://youtu.be/i9A2KSeC9Ss |
20x11 is only for Porsche fitments btw.
